61,059 applications to delete voters. Filed by election officials themselves. Not ONE gives a reason. 💀
→ Form 7 is the form used to object to a voter's name and get it deleted.
→ In Karnataka, at least 61,059 Form 7s were filed in the name of election officials. One-third of all such forms.
→ Not a single one mentions a reason. The law says an objection without a reason is liable to be rejected.
→ The officers named on these forms say the system "auto-generated" them with their digital signatures.
→ So the same machinery raised the objection, and the same machinery decided who stays.
→ Between Aug 24 and Sep 23, only 192 such forms were filed by officials.
→ Then, AFTER the objection period ended, more than 60,800 came in.
→ On the very last day, Oct 22, officials filed 10,105 forms.
→ Spot checks found names were already deleted, even for forms filed after the deadline.
→ It is unclear whether hearing notices, which are mandatory before deletion, were even issued.
Now connect the dots.
Officials say they didn't fill these forms. The "system" did, with their signatures.
Whose system is it? Election Commission's.
Who runs the Election Commission? Gyanesh Kumar.
So a software is allegedly deleting voters, in the name of officers, without a reason, after the deadline.
And nobody, not the voter, not the public, can check why.
Bro, imagine.
Someone forges your signature on a cheque.
The bank says, "Don't worry, the system did it automatically."
And the money is already gone before you even find out.
That's what is happening to people's VOTE.
That's not SIR.
That's silent deletion.
Gyanesh , who told your software to sign deletion forms in officers' names?
Modi , voters deleted without reason, after the deadline. Who is this "system" working for? 🔥🔥🔥
the best way to understand any engineered system is to trace:
- 1 bit of information
- 1 joule of energy
- 1 newton of force
from source to destination. once you can do this, your engineering task becomes much simpler. you will probably solve 5 or 6 problems on accident as you try to trace these flows.

While Piyush Goyal intended to play smart by bad-mouthing China’s business environment, he inadvertently exposed a deeply uncomfortable reality: in India, the ultra-rich are indeed very secure, precisely because they routinely stand above both the law and the people.
What many in India may not realize is that industries monopolized by large conglomerates in India—such as power generation, ports, and telecommunications—are state-managed in China.
The reason is straightforward: these sectors are closely tied to people’s livelihoods and have natural monopoly characteristics, so they are judged by their capacity to serve society rather than by their profit-making ability.
This is why China has long been able to keep electricity prices and freight rates low—they are backed by the power of the state.
By contrast, for most consumer goods, competition among Chinese companies is brutally fierce. The US has only Apple, but China has more than a dozen globally recognized smartphone brands; the US has only Tesla, but China has more than two dozen of EV brands.
Market champions are always the product of intense competition, because the government only sides with the final winners, and no Chinese company can sway government decisions the way Adani or Ambani do in India.
Having said all the above, it is not hard to see that Piyush Goyal’s remarks have unintentionally highlighted a major Chinese advantage: no matter how powerful capital becomes, it cannot override political authority.
It is precisely this degree of political autonomy that allows Chinese decision-makers to remain free from capture by either commercial interests or populist pressures, and to make strategic choices that prioritize long-term outcomes and the interests of the greatest number of people.
Unfortunate Questions being posed by the court. The real question is: Why should peaceful protests against the loot of our democracy be stopped by the police. The HC judges questions clearly show that he is battling for the police & the govt
ECINet, the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) comprehensive digital platform, has a feature through which viewing of enumeration form details is enabled State by State. This means that access for State Nodal Officers (SNOs) could be switched off anytime making it a centralised platform, according to an audit by ‘Charchagram’, a civic tech initiative.

India might be poor in manufacturing, but it's very efficient in manufacturing excuses. Indian and western propagandists have a ready inventory of reasons to explain why India lags behind China.
First, the excuse was that India launched its economic liberalization a decade later than China. So obviously, India will take time to catch up.
Then, the excuse became that India's "democracy" - once trumpeted as an advantage over China - was now the very thing holding India back. India can't just force through reforms or policies like authoritarian China can. And that's why India cannot develop as fast as China.
Today, they have yet another excuse: India lags behind China because China itself is "throttling" and "stiffling" India's rise. China doesn't want a rival and is hellbent on destroying any chance India has of developing its own industry and manufacturing.
In summary, everyone is to blame for India's failures - except India itself. India is completely blameless, it's all someone else's fault, or just bad luck or poor timing.
Such blame games reveal a lot about the Indian liberal mindset. Attributing all of India's failures to some external factor provides a psychological excuse and a convenient justification for incompetence. If it's always someone else's fault, no matter what you do, it will never be enough. So what's the point in doing anything at all?
Blaming others is an easy way to absolve oneself of blame - and escape responsibility for one's own failures. Indians themselves are never to be blamed for anything about India, the fault always lies somewhere else.

I think the govt needs to put out a TV advisory. You need to upgrade your browsers and root stores all across India.

@amit_code@prakdadlani India is going into a K shaped economy, where the rich are getting richer and the middle class is quickly moving into the poor class. Consolidation of power and wealth is the reason for this anxiety. I don’t think you understand the depth of this crisis.
Dusting off this tweet from April because this gap in shared understanding of LLM capability is *widening*. It's now less "two groups of people speaking past each other" and more a sharp funnel.
- Napkin math somewhere around 6B people (~75% of the population) have barely come in contact with LLMs at all.
- Around 1-2B (~20%) are casual and infrequent users of free-tier ChatGPT-like products. This group sees derpy chatbots and treats them a bit like a better Google search, a writing aid, or etc. Maybe an agent tries to book you a flight. I have non-tech friends who (reasonably, imo) say they have not much use for it at all. Even many professionals outside of math&code are in this tier. For example, execs and many other functions spend a lot of their time talking to other people, so while they understand what is happening intellectually, it is still second-hand and a bit abstract.
- Now we get to professional use of frontier-grade LLMs in math&code. Somewhere around 20M people (0.2%) see first-hand that large, complex projects that used to take them weeks/months can now be completed by agents with a prompt. Building apps, copying apps, translating apps, decompiling apps from binaries... This has all happened very quickly and recently - less than 1 year ago, I was writing code manually by hand, typing memorized computer code commands into a code editor character by character, occasionally pressing Tab to autocomplete a little chunk of code.
- And finally we get to the ~5,000 people (~0.00006%) with access to frontier-grade systems internally. The external world has seen the preview. It looks like swarms of thousands of agents collaborating over weeks on software mega projects: minting zero days, running cyber attacks and defenses at machine speeds, discovering new science, advancing the frontier of mathematics. Things that would have taken top professionals in the industry years of work. Meanwhile, human review and comprehension are starting to fall behind. For example, people are still involved in the "archeology" of the OpenAI-HF incident from many months ago. Mathematicians may be poring over the 722 manuscripts on frontier mathematics for a while.
The funnel is driven by a combination of factors:
1. The impact scales with ambition, problem size, and horizon. A question with a paragraph answer barely stresses the system. You need a reservoir of big, difficult problems that you really care about. This aspect drives the consumer / professional dimension of the funnel.
2. The jaggedness of the system (which I have written about a lot separately). Capability peaks in domains that are digital, verifiable and economically valuable. This is because LLM capability emerges from reinforcement learning on verifiable rewards on a curated environment mixture driven by revenue potential. This aspect primarily drives the area (e.g. math&code) dimension of the funnel.
3. Access. Free-tier, paid-tier, internal.
So this is the weirdness of the moment. The general public has mostly not interacted with these systems. When they have, it looks like a derpy chatbot. The majority of professionals still see only a modest uplift. And a small sliver of professionals are experiencing the vertigo of the curve going vertical. And it is all happening at the same time.
INDIA IN A STATE OF UNDECLARED EMERGENCY...
Yesterday when I posted a message appealing for unity & peace in today's protest I had never imagined that the biggest democracy in the world would be under an undeclared EMERGENCY.
I was happy there were so many leaders to lead the movement, but I now learn that they have all been arrested. I hope those arrested will be released soon. I will be compelled to consider an Anshan Fast or Padyatra March if they are not released by tomorrow.

It is amazing! The US establishment proposes to impose punitive tariffs on India for buying Russian oil and stabilizing global energy market; ant the US President celebrates a deal by which Russia sells to the US and the rest of the OECD diesel! We truly live in a topsy-turvy world!
this government’s priorities are genuinely fucking disgusting. just two weeks ago, hundreds of lady shri ram college students were on the streets protesting for basic rights, demanding functional CCTV cameras, better lighting, pink booths, security especially around gate 7 & the back gate. women were on the streets demanding basic safety and the government headed by rekha gupta couldn’t show the same urgency.
but just a day before the Jantar Mantar protest on 10th october, suddenly there’s an order to install 1,000+ cameras around the protest site. THOUSANDS. yeah they successfully installed more than thousand cameras in just 2 days. apparently, the government knows how to mobilise resources overnight when it comes to keeping an eye on citizens who raise their voices, but becomes deaf, dumb and paralysed when young women from one of the finest institution of this country demands protection in the nation’s capital.
they have the machinery to watch you, the manpower to stop you and the resources to control & suppress you. what they apparently lack is the urgency to protect you.
the most fucking shameful part? delhi has a woman chief minister, yet women’s safety seems to be the last thing on this government’s priority list. when women demand protection, the system goes silent. when citizens prepare to protest, suddenly the cameras, barricades and police are ready. if a woman becoming chief minister doesn’t make women’s safety a priority in nation’s capital, then what the fuck was the point of having one? and some of you spineless clowns still have the fucking audacity to defend this government & their spineless actions?!!
