@TeslaLarry@karpathy "it might not even be worth the transaction due to potential rounding or minimum fee structures"
This is the exact problem that Andrej is highlighting.
NEWS: Toyota was found to have falsified data and skirted impact-safety tests while applying to certify seven past and current vehicles, a government investigation has found.
Toyota submitted faulty data during pedestrian-safety tests for three current models, and used modified test vehicles during collision-safety tests for four past models, the Japanese transport ministry said Monday. The company was among five companies, including Honda Motor Co. and Mazda Motor Corp., found to have problems with their safety certifications.

Tesla Shareholders, It's Time Again to Make Your Voice Heard:
Write to Your Fund Managers About Tesla's Proxy Votes! They have a huge voting power and we must make our voices heard.
Dear Fellow Tesla Shareholders,
As the upcoming Tesla shareholder meeting approaches, it is crucial that we, as investors, take action to ensure our voices are heard. The decisions made through this year's proxy voting will have a significant impact on the future of Tesla.
I urge each and every one of you to write to your fund management companies and express your concerns about how they plan to vote on the various proposals put forth. It is essential that we hold them accountable and ensure they are voting in a way that aligns with our values and promotes the long-term success of Tesla.
Do know that their past votes can be searched on the SEC website, so we will know how they voted (links provided, see below).
Here's what you can do:
1. Draft a letter to your fund management company, expressing your interest in their proxy voting intentions for Tesla.
2. Emphasize the importance of their voting decisions.
3. Request that they keep you informed of their voting plans and provide a clear rationale behind their choices.
4. Send the letter via email or postal mail to your fund manager's attention. Copy their management to this letter, I have prepared their email and mailing addresses, see in the comments.
To make this process easier, I have provided a template letter in the comments section below. Feel free to customize it to reflect your specific concerns and priorities.
Remember, our collective action can make a real difference. By holding our fund managers accountable and ensuring they vote in our best interests, we can help shape the future of Tesla and drive positive change in the market.
Let's stand together as shareholders and make our voices heard. Write to your fund managers today, please! @Vanguard, @statestreet, @fidelity, @blackrock, @capitalgroup
PS.: thank you to @willbank who pushed me to set this up.

The problem with Tesla's advertising is that a non-trivial portion of it will be falling on deaf ears
After years of mis and disinformation from legacy media, there are far more people than any of us would like to admit that are actually against EV's...at the very least, they're highly skeptical
People that really think gas (or hybrid) cars are safer, better for the environment, more reliable and won't "destroy the grid"
After years of this programming, seeing a 30 second ad (no matter how good) from Tesla isn't going to be enough to move the needle for this group
Tesla should hire a crew to make a ~30 minute documentary covering all of the FUD over the years, dispelling the myths head on and talking about the benefits of owning an EV
The public can get bits and pieces of truth on the internet, but an official documentary sharing cool stories about Tesla's engineering and Elon stories (never before seen type of bts footage) about why owning a Tesla is so awesome (customer testimonials) could be a one-stop shop for FUD busting
Promote it on all platforms (Netflix etc. not just social media)
It just feels like the decision makers at Tesla feel like this is beneath them. Sure, in a perfect world the product would speak for itself but we live in an information age and if Tesla doesn't lean into playing that game, they're only hurting themselves
Will Tesla succeed in the long run without it? I believe yes, but the path to get there would be much less bumpy with it
It would obviously help to support the mission $TSLA
@barlers1 @DreBob0@MrJamesMay All else equal an EV would humiliate an Ice car on speed, acceleration, total cost of ownership, software, charge at home and other things.
I would really self analyse here...
@SethDillon You've won so many lotteries being born a white male in the US. Imagine getting a jack high against your royal flush and you still insist on coming around the table to look at their hand before the round starts.
Crime rates amongst illegal immigrants lower than US citizens.
@MichaelAArouet Socialism and communism are different things... Want to live in a country with public Healthcare and education as an option if you can't afford private? That's socialism. Live in a country without healthcare or education to keep the population too weak to revolt? Communism
@AAbcdefghabc @garyblack00@SawyerMerritt@elonmusk It certainly would, but the vast majority of Elon's x followers would be those who already know about cybertruck. If there's any reason for tesla advertising it is to educate the masses who are not aware of what tesla are doing / think it's fake etc.
@garyblack00 @PeterRicker To be fair it is extremely intuitive that it works this way. Politicians are very clearly steered by their funders and despite the clandestine nature of some of these deals there is a plethora of evidence. Journalists / editor relationships are even more of a black box...
@JonErlichman If this population pyramid is right, the total global population above 9 years old is 6.7 billion.
That means (on average) everybody over 8 years old globally has a smartphone??? Seems high?
Note - post makes it clear that it's smartphone users, not total number manufactured
@EdwardDiGi@garyblack00@TSLAFanMtl NVDA PE is 65...
- tesla energy?
- fsd ?
- prospect of Optimus?
You are ignoring tons other avenues to make such a claim.
