@vrundasays_ Other than a few examples, culturally, it’s vv common to be starting your PhD late in Europe. It isn’t frowned upon at all. People often take 1-3 years extra to finish their bsc and msc, and some spend a year or so travelling.
@vrundasays_ Rob Phillips was surfing/sailing around and finished his undergrad at 26. There’s June Huh who dropped out to become a poet, witten who was doing journalism for some time, and Hinton was doing carpentry for a year. There’s probably so many more
