If every taxpayer can be tracked for every rupee he owes the government, why can’t the government show taxpayers where every rupee spent on roads has gone?

The Government has admitted at various points that nearly ₹5,500 crore has been spent on Bengaluru’s roads. Citizens have a right to know where this money has gone and what outcomes it has delivered.

My demand is simple.

Within the next 30 days, the Government must launch a publicly accessible live dashboard for all road infrastructure works in Bengaluru. Every citizen should be able to see:

• Which road is being worked on
• The cost of the project
• The contractor executing it
• The officer responsible
• The timeline for completion
• The maintenance period
• The defect liability period
• The real-time status of the work

This is not a difficult reform. Bengaluru is India’s technology capital. Hundreds of technology professionals would gladly volunteer their expertise to help build such a platform.

Transparency creates accountability. Accountability improves quality. Quality builds public trust.

₹5,500 crore later, Bengaluru deserves answers.

Build the dashboard. Put every road work online. Let citizens see where their money is going.

Japan – Noticed a few things on the way to a meeting in Tokyo:

✅ No congestion or long halts even during peak hours, perfectly managed traffic.
✅ Cars over 20 years old are scratchless and look brand new; new car purchases are generally discouraged as per our guide.
✅ Every market has a multi-storey parking lot nearby, so no unnecessary road blocking by parked bikes or cars.
✅ No signboards, political posters, or ads on lamp posts and roadsides. Every street has LED lights, all working.

This is a CDP (Comprehensive Development Plan) road, Carmelaram meant to decongest the chaotic IT corridor.

👉 5 years in the making.
👉 Just 1 km long.
👉 Still incomplete.

The road falls under @MALimbavali’s constituency. It’s missing from the work orders of @GBAChiefComm, @DKShivakumar, and @siddaramaiah for years!

Regarding the recent H1B fee hike to $100,000

I went to US on H1B visa in 1998 for a salary of 60,000 USD per Annum.
No doubt a big salary when converted to INR, but after taxes and cost of living in USA no big savings. of course now starting salaries must be higher.

However, the reason people still leave India is not only salary but also better quality of life.

Two things that annoy me every day of living in Hyderabad:

1. Constant noise pollution. (Mainly vehicular honking, noisy vehicles, & construction activity). No peace of mind.
2. Chaotic traffic. I think 10 times before I step out of the house, which is a restrictive lifestyle. Hate dealing with bad aggressive drivers on the road.

So many other things are great in India like family, old friends, great food, affordable maids, Driver, affordable healthcare, etc.

So if we can somehow fix this chaotic traffic and constant noise, it will be a huge game changer for India.

But today, after fighting for improving traffic conditions since the last six years and no progress, I feel only God can fix these two things…
