Yet they swiftly removed a woman they deemed insubordinate…

I watched JonMark and Ron Cantor's 6.5 hour exposè on Jonathan Welton.

This story really bothered me especially because of how GOOD Jonathan Welton was at this process here:

-Sin and abuse power
-Get caught
-Apologize minimally
-Create a brand based on being the expert at sinning and then getting better

He did this at least TWICE and was ABOUT TO DO IT AGAIN!

But the full video by @JonmarkBaker and @RonSCantor I believe did the job of helping to put a stop to that.

Here is a quick (1.5 hour lol) breakdown of the story from my perspective-- including a RECENT woman who called out Welton for FOLLOWING HER on Facebook after she commented kindly on his "apology". WILD. Absolutely brazen.

Whether a Christian or a Non Christian exposes evil and corruption within Christian Ministries or Churches it doesn't change the facts of what was being covered up.

I prefer that Christians do it because, I mean hey, we should actually (according to the Bible) love the truth and expose falsehood when it seeks to desecrate the pulpit and the House of God.

But if Christians aren't going to do it, don't be surprised if people who have deconstructed begin to do it.

When LIES are exposed.
False prophecy is exposed.
Sexual exploitation and predation is exposed.

Don't think that it's an agenda to destroy God's Church.

Rather it's GOD'S MERCY to protect His Church.

When large ministries crumble due to the truth coming to the surface, it doesn't mean that the one's who BROUGHT THE TRUTH TO THE SURFACE are evil.

It simply means that that ministries TIME RAN OUT.

We see this expressed in the Book of Revelation in the letters to the 7 churches.

Jesus says again and again that if they do not REPENT then HE will take their lamp stand.

What does that look like?
We can only guess.
But I guarantee you it probably wasn't a "nice process" of "restoring fallen leaders" to their pulpits.

Jonathan Welton OVER AND OVER has done the exact same thing. Manipulate women in order to touch them and speak inappropriately to them and then cry crocodile tears when he's caught and then CONVINCE people (again and again) that this time is different. And just fyi... it's happening RIGHT NOW to people that didn't take the time to watch the Minor Prophets recent video on him but instead spent the 2 minutes to read his "apology". It's happening. Again.

Ben Armstrong had ALREADY been caught doing these things to a woman in Weaverville, CA and Bill Johnson and Kris Vallotton knew it prior to hiring him at Bethel (allegedly). He did it again. Then he was reinstated while Sarah was discarded.

Shawn Bolz was warned about OVER AND OVER but Bethel let it slide. Until it HIT THE FAN and was exposed that they knew.

Bickle's evil predation of women was seen and known about by some of his top leaders but was never truly exposed until those who had LEFT IHOPKC decided to start speaking up about what they knew.

This idea that "COVERING NOAH" is honorable is a total misuse of Scripture.

One thing you'll notice is that FALSE TEACHERS won't spend too much time in the New Testament Scriptures teaching and preaching them... because they can't get by with their actions when lining them up to NT QUALIFICATIONS in Paul's letters to the churches. (Credit to @TheRayCurryJr on that point).

It's a fact though.
These guys will spend YEARS preaching OT passages in allegorical ways in order to paint themselves as DAVID.

OR they will simply twist NT letters to focus so much on "GRACE" that to call out SIN is somehow "too sin focused" and not enough "gospel"

There is always a way to use the scriptures to cover for themselves while soothing their consciences to think that God approves of them in the midst of their evil actions.

The Charismatic movement is in big trouble right now.
And it's NOT because of a cessationist versus continuations debate.
It's not because "Charismatics with Seatbelts" aren't spiritual enough so they have to attack the movement.

NO.

It's because *almost* NOBODY on the inside of these movements had the... *ehem* ... *stuff*... necessary to PROTECT the flock, call out the WOLVES, and hold their own HEROS to account.

So it took people that weren't fully on the inside to wake up the people on the inside.

Thankful for the people in the movement that have stepped up to the plate in the past couple of years.

Major props to STEPHEN POWELL who called out TODD BENTLEY when it was NOT popular to do so. He got raked over the coals for it back about 5-6 years ago. Really appreciate him taking this stand.

I spoke up in 2023 but I didn't have anything to lose because I wasn't in ministry. I just cared about the TRUTH.

I do appreciate deeply those who put their ministry contacts on the line to speak out when it has to do with calling out their own within the ministry world.

I'll end with this...

If you are "worried" about ministries getting "torn down" then just know that a man cannot tear anything down that GOD HAS BUILT.

But sometimes... as all my good charismatic friends know and preach... God will tear things down and shake them by whatever means necessary and He is no respecter of persons or ministries or money or power or influence or previous impact. When you have been WARNED and you do not LISTEN and TRULY REPENT and show FRUIT OF REPENTANCE... your words won't save your ministry or movement. Nothing will stop what comes next if Jesus has decided that your lamp stand is done.

Don't hook your wagon to a MOVEMENT or a person.

Get back to the GOSPEL and DEVOTION TO CHRIST.

Paul Cain "discerned" lust in Bob Jones as the KC Prophets went national. We later learned Cain was a predator, too. A predator used prophetic authority to remove another predator from a platform both shared. It's weird. But man, it makes sense.

What gets me is that Charismatic leaders you know allowed Paul Cain (years after it was known how evil he was) to harass one of the early whistleblowers who was trying to expose Shawn Bolz. Paul literally swooped in and stifled exposure of Bolz.

How deep is the rot? If you think you know, you don’t.

I know saying this will turn off some who have so far thought I was bringing light and help but it just is that bad. It really is.

I'm still reeling from the death of Joni Lamb today. Honestly, until Nov of 2024 & all the revelations about what was going on with she & Jonathan, I had never heard of her, or him or Daystar. As I watched the podcasts about all of that I was stunned often at the taunting of God, the lies, manipulations occurring then & in the past with Marcus & Joni. Even as I was appalled by it all, I really did see Joni with much compassion. I kinda' 'got her,' in a strange way. I felt disgust at the lies, but I still felt a great care for her & I prayed often for her, that Jesus would so captivate her that all the rest she was holding onto would fall away & she would run to truth & reconciliation with her only son. The truth is, she did not and time ran out. She purposely made it so he was not called at her end, not told that she was dying, denied a last conversation with her. Her instructions, her wish. A mother and son who, from all accounts had a great relationship until Dough Weiss entered their lives 3 years ago, and at the end, he was with her but her son was not. I cannot understand any mother not wanting to see her son in her final days, regardless of what had happened. I do not understand. It was all between she and God today. I hope His mercy covered her.

What's wild to me is these pastors put cameras in their sanctuaries in order to reach the entire world. But when those they "reached" ask for some clarifications on things that are said these guys pretend like it's a "family matter" that doesn't involve the public.

You can't have the PUBLIC PRAISE without the PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY -- especially if you are the one setting up your own PUBLIC PLATFORM by streaming your services for years.
