WHERE IS #ALTSEASON?

We all know that #altseason comes when new money enters the market.

Point 1: This time, institutional money is going directly into Bitcoin #ETF and #MSTR. They have no exposure to high-risk #alts. Big money is limited to #bitcoin and #ethereum. It's hard to say how much Bitcoin ETF money will flow into #alts. Maybe none.

Point 2, and it's very scary.
In 2017, there were 1000 #alts to trade. By 2021, 20000 #alts were launched in the market, max roughly estimating 40k-50k alts in total.

But now in 2025, you'll be surprised to see that pump dot fun has launched over 65,000,000 #alts. How many do we know? Maybe 100, 200, or 500? What about the liquidity among those 6.5 million #alts? The same goes for Virtual and other launchpads; they suck liquidity from the market.

Point 3: Popular meme or AI agent coins gain attention after they've already 100x, then their team uses centralized exchanges to dump tokens on retail traders.

Point 4: Utility and real-use-case projects come with very high valuations. Most coins listed on Binance have a FDV over a billion dollars, then they dump on retail traders.

Does this mean #altseason won't come?
No, it doesn't mean that. #altseason will come, but your low-cap coin might not go for 20x.

It doesn't mean you should sell your low-cap coins now. Hold them, but check past performance and try to sell during a pump if the project isn't promising.

What to do?
Check out the @coinbase 50 index and invest 70% of your portfolio in those projects for safe, secure returns. Use the remaining 10%-30% for riskier investments.
