@ProcreatorG@jmwilt21@gtinari Yet Samsung couldn’t come up with anything like that even given years of a headstart. That’s the point. It doesn’t matter how many YEARS you give Samsung or any Android company, they never, ever create anything polished to perfection until Apple shows up with an example.
@ProcreatorG@jmwilt21@gtinari I’m not a fanboy and I have no interest in a foldable. I’m just saying Apple’s version looks a lot better than the chop Samsung has been releasing.
@GlobeTrot3r@jmwilt21@gtinari You don’t understand that one doesn’t have to OWN a Lamborghini to know it’s a better brand than Skoda. And it’s not just about speed. Thinking faster = better is what makes you a Samsung guy, and thats ok. Not everyone needs a Lambo.
@GlobeTrot3r@jmwilt21@gtinari Look, it’s not like their devices are falling apart. But no matter how many LED lights and ringtones they add to their damn dishwasher, it’s still not a Miele. Same thing with their phones.
@Immortal1602@jmwilt21@gtinari So we agree. Apple is the KING 👑 of refining existing ideas, to the point y’all are now drooling over an animation. This conversation wouldn’t exist if Samsung had any class.
@ProcreatorG@jmwilt21@gtinari When have you ever seen Samsung create something so iconic people try to emulate it on their toasters within hours of release? They’ve had years of a head start, yet couldn’t come up with a simple animation to wow anyone. 💀
@GlobeTrot3r@jmwilt21@gtinari I’m not angry. You have to be delusional to think Samsung is the premium brand here. They make "ok" mass-market phones and dishwashers, but “prestigious” is not exactly a word anyone associates with Samsung. 💀
@ProcreatorG@jmwilt21@gtinari There's no need to cope. I simply have no interest in matching my phone with my dishwasher, as better brands exist for both.
@edog_ross@Skylander134@ChanceOfStatic@jmwilt21@gtinari They do push out chopped products, but that’s ok. 🤷🏼♂️ Not every car is a Porsche. It’s perfectly fine to drive a Kia. Some of them are extremely capable and "nice". But even a $100k Kia is not going to be turning any heads.
@RobinSagan@jmwilt21@gtinari Some of their phones are technically capable, I’ll give them that, yet incredibly unrefined in design and attention to detail, running the world’s most popular spyware OS.
@I_amDonte Samsung certainly loves “hardware innovation” but across everything from washing machines to flagship phones, their products always look and feel chopped compared with genuinely high-end design. They can achieve “oh, this is kind of nice”, like Toyota, but never “wow”.
@ChanceOfStatic@jmwilt21@gtinari Yes, I do understand that Apple is capable of developing a polished and aesthetically pleasing UI detail in hours, whereas Samsung seems incapable of doing so even given YEARS of a head start.
@_ktbm@jmwilt21@gtinari Maybe it's just an animation, but has Samsung ever produced such an epic interface that it changed the industry?
Perhaps for one of their washing machines? Oops, sorry, no. Even those are chopped, and Apple could design a better one in a heartbeat. And you know it.
@AidanR2011@jmwilt21@gtinari Yeah, maybe _you_ personally don’t want a more iOS experience, but the internet is full of videos of people trying to make Android more iOS-esque, including the one you’re commenting on. 🫢 Plus all the Chinese manufacturers out there.
@FSpekulerar@jmwilt21@gtinari Samsung supplying a component to Apple is about as relevant to the quality of the finished phone as a Michelin restaurant buying its tomatoes from the same farm as McDonald’s. The meat comes from the same farm too, doesn’t mean you’re eating at the same restaurant. 🫢 Sorry.
@FSpekulerar@jmwilt21@gtinari Maybe it will suck. Maybe it won't. Maybe it will take a few generations to get it right. But whatever Samsung has tried before is irrelevant. Nokia also had tried and moved on from touchscreens before, but look around you. What do you see? An endless stream of iPhone clones.
