South Sudan is blessed with natural resources and hardworking and resilient people. But the current government we have today is a curse to this nation. It gives nothing to the people of south Sudan but unnecessary internal wars and suffering. 1/2
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from this side.
💧 Smart Irrigation Starts with Smart Innovation!
It makes farming affordable, practical, and productive.
This afternoon, we elevated a 5,000-liter water tank at the farm.
It’s 22nd December, three days to Christmas, and everyone is busy shopping and planning festivities. As a single father of tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers, I bought a new motorized spray pump for faster, easier spraying.

The ma chai in your area is definitely using more than 100 eggs per day and he ends up throwing away the egg shells. As a farmer, your job is to turn that waste into calcium. Their waste might just be your wealth. Epiphanyfarmltd 🚶🇳🇬
1 tree of coffee can produce 3kg of berries in a season.
There can be 2 seasons in a year.
A kilo of coffee berries is now KSH 600 - 1000,
A tree in a season can return an average of KSH 2000 (KSH 4000 in a year).
The older the tree, the more the kilos in a harvest.
An acre can hold 800 to 1200 trees depending on the spacing.
Apart from Central Kenya, coffee can grow in:
• Eastern: Mbooni, Kangundo, Machakos, Embu, Meru
• Western: Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma
• Nyanza: Migori, Oyugis, Nyamira, Kisii
• Rift-Valley: Trans-Nzoia, Bomet, Kericho, Laikipia, Keiyo, Baringo
• Coast: Taita Taveta
Coffee is the second-most-traded commodity globally after oil.
For a nation to be free, it should produce and export more than it consumes and imports.
Soil is our freedom.
Seeds are our weapons.
Food is our sovereignty.
Farming is patriotism.
A huge shoutout to @esami_trapca for the incredible opportunity to represent #SSD at a fantastic workshop on #Agroecology in East Africa! The discussions were not only insightful but also inspiring. Excited to share and implement what I've learned! 🌱✨

Did you know that today more than 700 people are in Kigali, Rwanda, talking about trees, farms, and the future of our planet? 🌳
Yes, you heard that right — the 6th World Congress on Agroforestry(@wcagroforestry) has officially kicked off today!
A week filled with inspiration, discovery, learning, and action has just begun.
The theme this year is “Agroforestry for People, Planet & Profit.” Sounds simple, but it carries a big dream — to make farming smarter, greener, and more rewarding for everyone.
Experts, farmers, researchers, and dreamers from every corner of the world have come together to share one belief: trees and crops can grow better together.
Some are discussing soil, others are talking about climate resilience, and a few are probably still figuring out how to pronounce “agroforestry” without pausing halfway. 😄
In the halls of Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village(KCEV), ideas are sprouting faster than beans after the rain.
People are sharing stories about how trees protect farms, how farmers protect forests, and how both can protect the future.
The energy is contagious.
The conversations are deep.
The coffee breaks are full of laughter and plans to plant more than just trees — but hope itself.
Agroforestry is not just about farming.
It is about connection — between people, land, and the generations to come.
So, if you believe in a greener world that feeds, shelters, and inspires us all — stay tuned. The journey has just begun. 🌍

Did you know that rural women produce over half of the world’s food, yet often have the least access to land, credit, and technology?
In Rwanda, where women play a central role in farming, family well-being, and community development, their contribution is the backbone of our nation’s progress.
This is why we are celebrating them today on the International Day of Rural Women — a moment to honor their resilience, leadership, and impact across generations.
The theme of this year’s International Day of Rural Women is “Rural Women Rising: Shaping Resilient Futures.”
In Rwanda, it is celebrated under the national theme “Umugore ni uw’agaciro” (A Woman of Dignity).
It is a reminder that women are not just working the land — they are shaping the future.
In @GisagaraDistr ,@WrrRwanda , in partnership with the @WFP Rwanda and other partners, has been supporting women through the She Can Project.
Women have gained access to loans.
They have formed savings groups.
They have built agribusinesses that sustain families and communities.
More than 41,000 farmers have improved food security and market access.
80% of them are women.
Through this partnership, 52,000 people have been trained in financial literacy, business development, and savings.
38 home-based Early Childhood Development centers were established to give children safe spaces to grow while mothers work.
Over 2,600 couples have participated in relationship-strengthening sessions that promote family harmony and prevent gender-based violence.
These are not just numbers.
They are stories of courage, progress, and dignity.
Today, we honor rural women — the women who rise before dawn, nurture their families, and grow the future of our communities with resilience and hope.
Thank you so much @WrrRwanda and @WFP Rwanda for supporting women in Rwanda.
