CMC Vellore, Chittoor Campus signs a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Chittoor District Administration to strengthen urban health services through a Public–Private Partnership. The MoA was signed with respect to the initiative by Sri Sumit Kumar, I.A.S., Collector and District Magistrate, Chittoor, and Dr. Vikram Mathews, Director, CMC Vellore.

Under the agreement, CMC Vellore, Chittoor Campus will provide doctors, outpatient services, care coordination, and mobile medical outreach, bringing timely and quality healthcare closer to communities, especially in underserved areas.

CMC Vellore partners with Unifeeder (@DP_World
company), in coordination with Amana development consultants, to launch 'Cervicare Thrice' for women’s health. This initiative is designed to strengthen efforts across prevention, screening, early detection, and treatment of #CervicalCancer, the second most common #cancer among women in India.

The initiative aims to reach more than 10,000 girls and women across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Bihar through school and community-based #awareness sessions. Around 3,000 women will also be screened with identified precancerous cases receiving follow-up care and treatment.

The initiative will strengthen CMC Vellore’s treatment capabilities through the introduction of an advanced Geneva #brachytherapy applicator, designed to deliver more precise and effective #cancertherapy, improving treatment accuracy and efficiency while ensuring optimal tumour coverage with minimal radiation exposure to surrounding tissues.

So far, over 1,040 women in the community have been screened in with 146 identified as positives to be treated.

Among dignitaries present at the unveiling of the donor plaque were Dr B Baranidharan @Barani_Ddhs, Deputy Director (Health Services), Vellore, and Mr CM Muraleedharan, India Area Director, DP World.

On Day 1, 3 keynotes by experts from India and abroad, speaking on 'Theology, Faith in Action and Spiritual Nurture'.
@penielrufus, Director of Global Mission and Global Theologian, @USPGglobal, UK, highlighted lack of inter-relational understanding of health, cultivating humility to achieve excellence, on offering more than glib hope to patients and Christian witness as 'with-ness'.
@garygunderson, Professor, Faith and the Health of the Public, @WakeForest School of Divinity, USA, described faith as our immune system to fight against fear, friction and disconnection and spoke on the five underpinnings of life: connection, coherence, agency, generativity and hope.
Mr. Jayakumar Christian, former National Director, @WVIndia, Vice-President for Faith & Development, @WorldVision, challenged the audience to not restrict CMC to becoming an island of excellence, but to have our service ripple into the margins.
Final #keynote, 'CMC Story - Being and Becoming', by Dr P Zachariah, CMC alumnus from the late 40s, oldest member of the community and a stalwart of CMC; spoke about the foundational objectives and the building blocks of CMC and how we can maintain continuity of our culture and our values.

Dept of #RadiationOncology inaugurates #PARAMShavak #Supercomputer @ the CMC Vellore Ranipet Campus to enhance #MedicalResearch capabilities through high-performance computing.
The "supercomputer in a box" was developed by @cdacindia in collaboration with CMC's QIRAIL (Quantitative Imaging Research & #ArtificialIntelligence Lab) & BMIU (Biomedical Informatics Unit).
Supercomputers are designed to handle complex calculations & large amounts of #data, exceeding the capabilities of general-purpose #computers.
