🇺🇸 USA STOCK MARKET UPDATE

Wall Street started the week strongly.

On Monday, the S&P 500 gained 0.7%, the Nasdaq jumped 1.1% to a new record high, and the Dow rose 0.2%.

Tech stocks led the rally, with Nvidia reaching another record high. Investors are also watching Treasury yields, oil prices and expectations around the Federal Reserve.

My view: The market remains strong, but high Treasury yields are still something investors need to watch closely.

🇳🇬 NIGERIA STOCK MARKET UPDATE

The NGX started the week on a cautious note. The All-Share Index fell 0.06% on Monday to close at 250,667.86 points, while market capitalisation dropped slightly to ₦162.75 trillion.

Trading remained active with over 875 million shares exchanged.

Sovereign Trust Insurance, FTN Cocoa, Tripple Gee, Learn Africa and Livestock Feeds were among the top gainers.

My view: Investors are still showing interest, but profit-taking in some large stocks is keeping the market under pressure.
