Private candidate here. Exam centre making me do A-level exams on ALL the content in early April, 2 months before June. @ofqual@educationgovuk make it make sense
@TutorsandExams @homeschoolingm7 @john57130621 @PearsonEdexcel How many papers will we receive and will each paper have content from the whole subject as I have been told or will they be structured and candidates will be given the titles etc
@ClaireRoseCam @PrivCanditatSOS@ofqual@educationgovuk I’m paying £740 for 2 subjects and most centres have a no refund policy unless they do something wrong on there part, bad times haha
Another example of how private candidates are discriminated against. How are we supposed to feel confident in receiving grades when this is what we face? And who is going to answer for this? Since no one cares not even @CommonsEd.
@PearsonEdexcel @JCQcic@ofqual
JCQ’s ‘worked examples’ to help exam centres grade kids this summer is out. Guess how home-educated kids are graded...
2 kids: same marks, proof of same ability, different grades = discrimination.

Is there any info on how we’re going to be graded yet, for e.g are we going to use the gov provided assessments? and if so the dates we would take them @TutorsandExams
@Ash_l_y_n@drdavidajames@ofqual it’s fair for us to be graded on content most of us haven’t learnt and for those exams to be 2 months earlier than expected then?? and that people in colleges etc have been tested around once a week doing standard questions since the start of the year and we have exams 👍🏼
@OSmid@drdavidajames@ofqual Long covid for me, severe tiredness, headaches, shortness of breath and heart palpitations and as I understand I’m not the only one as it is a pandemic of course
@leahrebecca0@sidmas88@ofqual I don’t believe you are taking into context everything that has happened to some people throughout this year, u believe that if u lose 3 family members as my friend did to covid u would be in the right frame to study?? This is a one off process if goes through
@sidmas88@leahrebecca0@ofqual Students deserve it with the mental and physical trauma from the pandemic, let alone their futures being severely disadvantaged by the gov
@drdavidajames@ofqual One year to determine students future and life is more important then fairness as such. This is the only progressive development I have seen throughout this year and the previous from the government
@drdavidajames@ofqual I believe it’s a fair system to put in place, no person will understand the struggles mentally and physically that students have gone through. If it means that for 1 year students get on average higher than normal then so be it, this would not change landscape of future education
@JCQcic@educationgovuk@ofqual@AQA@OCRCustSupport@eduqas @Pearson_UK @TheExamsOffice This is ridiculously unfair. So private candidates who’ve been studying independently are doomed to take MULTIPLE sets of “mocks” that are invigilated... essentially exams. Allow us to give non-exam evidence. Make centres issue weekly homework’s. So many options you’re ignoring
