@Connorpoleary "can't read anymore" is false. Struggles to concentrate, sure. But let's be precise here. This isn't illiteracy. It's an attention and concentration issue.
@MereSophistry These are not workable solutions. Blue books -- obviously not. And how will you make sure a student is "away from screens"? Surveillance outside the classroom? Just accept it -- students will use AI from now on. Teach with that reality in mind.
@MattLutzPhi Blue books are a ludicrous solution. I teach college composition. Writing in a blue book is a completely different thing from writing outside of class -- they don't measure the same thing.
