Ok Twitter. Help me. I like natural scroll for my track pad and my magic mouse. I just got a scroll mouse and using natural scroll on the scroll mouse breaks my brain. I have to swap scroll preferences. Why is it different? Anybody else the same?

@DrKostyk @ljuba_pi It could be that I've gotten incredibly lucky with my last few non-academic jobs that I've had opportunities that help fill what I'd miss from teaching. I'm incredibly thankful for what I've been able to do. And still thankful for all those who stay in academia. 💚

@DrKostyk @ljuba_pi I get that. And I do miss the bonding with students and seeing them grow and hearing from them later in life telling me how they've succeeded. But I still do get a similar feeling from seeing my Jr team members learn and blossom. Watching others grow is the best.

@DrKostyk @ljuba_pi As far as research goes, I pick companies where I enjoy the research I'm doing. If I happen to be on a project that I don't find to fill my research needs, I've got the time and resources to be able to do my own research in my free time.
