Hi, I fully support the equal access to sport at school too.
But, please don't let our children play on artificial grass pitches, especially 3G pitches.
I doubt that you will read this but I really hope one of your aides does.
This will explain why these pitches are so dangerous for our children.
The #RubberCrumb infill is being banned in the EU to protect health and the environment.
Even the manufacturer of the rubber crumb infill has questioned how he is allowed to supply this with such high carcinogenic levels.
And 3G pitches also flood and cost a lot more to rectify. Also, there are toxic PFAS chemicals in ALL artificial grass.
Please read through the following links.
Please DM if you would like more information.

Protecting environment and health:
Commission adopts measures to restrict intentionally added microplastics
The granular infill material used on artificial sport surfaces the largest source of intentional microplastics in the environment
Our government health departments and sports organisations know all about the cancer risks.
'CANCER COVER-UP' Sport and health officials agreed not to go public on cancer concerns linked to artificial 3G pitches
A Freedom of Information request found that a series of meetings were held to discuss the dangers of coming into contact with synthetic turf.
SPORT and health bosses have decided not to warn players about cancer concerns over 3G artificial pitches.
But Sport England, Public Health England and the Department of Health agreed not to highlight the cancer risk.
It was slammed by Nigel Maguire, 54. He lost son Lewis, 20, to Hodgkin’s lymphoma in March after he spent five years training on artificial turf.
Nigel, from Darlington, said: “The fact they have had these meetings shows there is growing concern.”
A report last year told of the risks of artificial pitches, made from shredded car tyres containing toxic chemicals.

https://t.co/lPzWVdZXoL… Sport chiefs fail to warn players of 3G pitch cancer risk
The Government and country’s sports authorities have failed to properly warn millions of footballers and rugby players - including children - to limit their exposure to artificial grass pitches containing cancer-causing chemicals, an investigation by The Daily Telegraph has found...
In a breakout box in the above article, not visible on a mobile.
He only mentions one chemical. (Yale has identified 306 chemicals, 197 are carcinogenic, others are mutagenic and endocrine disruptive.)
He doesn't mention that six of the PAHs are allowed, under our current laws, to contain up to 2,000 times more carcinogenic chemicals (1,000 mg/kg) than allowed in children's toys (0.5 mg/kg). In the EU, this has been lowered to 20 mg/kg, which is still 40 times more carcinogenic than allowed in children's toys, but our government has decided not to adopt this new EU law.
3G pitches | Supplier openly questions the regulations he must comply with
The man who supplied the crumb rubber for the Football Association’s flagship ‘Parklife’ 3G hub has admitted regulations governing cancer-causing chemicals in such infill are “totally illogical”.
Mark Murfitt, owner of Murfitts Industries, branded rules allowing such granules to contain 100 times the amount of known carcinogen benzo(a)pyrene (BaP) than the artificial grass on which they sit - and even the tyres from which they’re made - as “not tenable”.
Under current European regulations, 100mg/kg of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) BaP is permitted in crumb rubber from recycled tyres because the infill is classed as what is known as a “mixture”. . …
Carcinogenic levels for mixtures are allowed to be up to 1,000 mg/kg.
The carcinogenic level for an article is 1.0 mg/kg, the carcinogenic level for children's toys is 0.5 mg/kg.
After intense industry lobbying, RIVM decided to classify rubber crumb as a mixture instead of an article as a multi-billion $£ industry was at stake!

Training and coaching
Further to the display of posters, imagery and digital content, these messages and materials should also be incorporated into training, coaching and briefing activities.
It is important to ensure that staff and volunteers at your organisation and throughout your network, no matter what their role, have a thorough understanding of the good hygiene guidance, and can confidently advise others through their work.

. . . He'd probably also want you to know that nearly eight hours after the protest begun, people are still being arrested in Parliament Square for holding bits of paper expressing support in principle for an organisation that has never used violence against anyone.
Chris has a simple message, as both a British army veteran and the son of a Holocaust survivor: the genocide in Gaza must end, British cooperation with the IDF must stop, and Palestine Action is not a terrorist organisation.
His disgust has mounted over the years, and he felt he needed to take a stand.
Chris was arrested this afternoon wearing his regimental tie and blazer.
.@RSBenwell is right - exempting small sites means almost three-quarters of developments face no requirement to compensate for nature loss - let alone enhance it. Govt pledges to restore nature aren’t worth the paper they were written on 👇 https://t.co/inKMXhOXSJ
.@mtpennycook once told us that the case of 53 Agar Grove was at the ‘forefront of his mind’ when developing policy to protect buyers.
Now in government, he’s easing regulation for housebuilders, but where are the protections for consumers he once promised?”
I'm not really here any more but I wanted to share a piece of writing I've just published about the fact that a month ago, I lost a much wanted pregnancy. With massive content warnings for baby loss.

Once again it is journalists who are getting to the heart of just how big this scandal is.
How product manufacturers distance themselves from the consequences of their dangerous products.
And just how easy it is from them to get away with it.
#EndOurCladdingScandal
It’s 63 months since I found out my home is unsafe. And despite the thousands of pounds wasted on dodgy interim measures and insurance, precisely NOTHING to be done to rectify the actual defects.
Those who caused these problems don’t live with the risk.

@DeborahMeaden Yes, that is why I stay on. Keep on being you and thanks again for all the time and energy you spend counteracting, correcting and informing❤️
1: Please be kind to Harry. He is 10-years-old and this @altontowers review is his first published piece;
