@oldgodspod I just realized I grew up on the Canadian bit of the Appalachian mountains (next to St Anne des Monts, where the Parc de la Gaspésie begins)! Not Appalachia per se but it gave me kind of a thrill. Skied a lot as a kid.

Wonder if there are old gods up here too 🤔

What am I saying... I grew up in the shadow of Éole, the highest vertical axis wind turbine in the world. We were taught about Éole the god of the wind before we could talk. We also had a legend of a cat trapped in a rock. Mountains on one side, ocean on the other...

3yo I were in the playroom and we picked out 4 books to read on the couch. He then went back for more, and I said, "We have enough books! We need to read the ones we picked before getting more."
