10 paisa ku proyajanam illaadha @_PVRCinemas palazzo, Chennai. NOT EVEN ONCE the billing for food worked on time. A huge bunch missed the scene after interval.. people ran.. a guy bumped on me and my face is scarred now. Oh did I enjoy the movie I waited for years, fucking not!
@omjasvinMD@omjasvinMD Arcot road flyover that connects Kodambakkam to Nungambakkam + T Nagar is in a far far worse condition. No respite for the past 6 months, and getting inundated because of the rains.. Exposed steel rods that poses heavy risk for 2 wheelers!
At this point this is just sad. People with a science degree shouldn’t be speaking like this.
1. “Professors of Immunology had reservations 15 years ago…”
Science evolves - that’s the point. Fifteen years ago, mRNA technology was in early stages, adjuvant safety data was smaller, and combination-schedule research was ongoing. Those same “professors” today would acknowledge that decades of data now support both safety and efficacy. Using outdated opinions to discredit current consensus is like quoting a surgeon from 1980 to argue against laparoscopic surgery.
2. “Doctors are silent because they’ll be attacked.”
Or because they understand the difference between scientific scrutiny and conspiracy rhetoric. Medicine thrives on challenge - real researchers publish data, present at conferences, and invite peer review. People who “stay silent” in public but gossip privately usually lack evidence strong enough to withstand that scrutiny.
3. “I speak for those who can’t.”
You’re not giving them a voice - you’re giving them plausible deniability. If there were legitimate large-scale evidence contradicting vaccine safety, it would be in journals, not in tweets prefaced with “I can’t name them but trust me.”
4. “We need an org in India to support dissenting doctors.”
We already have that - it’s called the scientific method. It rewards reproducible data, not anecdotal fear. Anyone can challenge the consensus, but the burden of proof lies with the challenger, not the data that’s already been verified across millions of doses and global monitoring systems.
5. “I’m a reasonably informed layman and have the right to speak.”
Of course you do. But having the right to an opinion doesn’t make it right. Medicine isn’t a democracy of feelings, it’s a meritocracy of evidence. Freedom of speech isn’t freedom from factual accountability.
6. “Stay in your lane is arrogance and credentialism.”
No, it’s humility before expertise. We defer to pilots to fly planes and engineers to build bridges because specialized knowledge matters. If you wouldn’t take flying lessons from someone who’s only “reasonably informed” about aerodynamics, why would you take immunological advice from one?
Science doesn’t silence people, it filters noise. If your evidence can survive peer review, publish it. If not, it’s not censorship, it’s quality control.
@_PVRCinemas we were planning to watch #sitaareZameenPar but none of the pvr screens in Chennai support english subtitles for the hindi version of the movie?
Is there a reason for this?
