Bitcoin Core’s validation engine is being made available as a library, so developers can build their own tools and systems while reusing Core’s consensus code instead of reimplementing it.

The walkthrough goes from validating the first 170 mainnet blocks to verifying Satoshi’s signature, then changing the transaction and watching verification fail.

After a short tea break, we are back with next session: @OmSwami2004 and @__yashgandhi__ giving a demo on Sattle, a bill-splitting app built on Bitcoin and Lightning.

Think Splitwise, but with payments built in.

Only one person needs to install Sattle. Everyone else can open a payment link in their browser and pay from a Lightning wallet they already use. No signup, no new app.

Expenses stay in rupees. Settlements happen in sats.

Sattle also publishes an encrypted, verifiable ledger to Nostr, so a group can rebuild its history without relying on Sattle's server.
