@alz_zyd_ Almost all remakes of classics substantially change gameplay (Resident Evil remakes, for example). Unlike Movies/TV, remaking old games makes some sense because many look/feel janky or are even inaccessible these days.
@jt_kerwin Bombadil is not in the book to move the plot, but to hint that there's more to the world than the main story suggests. And also Tolkien's most important statement about power

@Mrsean135123@RossSchumann@markmobility Again, that’s not true. Inflation is defined as a generalized increase in prices (and the opposite for deflation). Money supply and inflation are generally connected, but monetary expansion/contractions are not per se inflation/deflation
@RossSchumann@markmobility Inflation coming down just means that prices go up at a lower rate than before. If prices went down, that would be deflation
@BrandonLuuMD Great thread, though I don’t agree with the recommendation to stop smoking weed based on the findings. Such recommendation requires taking into account not only more evidence on long-term effects, as you pointed out, but also a myriad of other factors not covered by the study
@SFMTA_Muni what’s up with the westbound notifications for the J at Embarcadero? The panel says it’s arriving in 2 minutes, then it disappears from the list of upcoming trains. 7 minutes later, a J suddenly arrives. It’s been like this for weeks
