Last week, huge game loc agency Lionbridge sent an email to many of their contractors saying they would reduce how much they pay fuzzy matches, citing a need to “remain competitive”.
Why is that an abhorrent move? Buckle up, this is gonna be a wild ride.🧵👇

What a great message. Localisation is 100% part of video game development
When dev costs rise, its only fair that translators, proofreaders and LQA testers get their own share, which will inherently increase the quality of your game localisation.
Dear friends.
Today Riotloc is raising localization rates for many languages. If you consider localizing with us soon, please request a quote this week - we will lock the old rates for your next game.
Why now?
Quick answer: because of the economy and due to our values.

@iamleyeti Maybe not tools per se but features like creating glossaries or "Writing Memory" you could use as reference would definitely be useful, especially when you have to write dozens of ingame skill descriptions for example imo :)
