@spikesonly@DerekMHansen@Tier1athlete The reality is, this is a cost prohibitive solution for most. We have used and owned virtually every major RFID system on the market over the last 15 years and to lump this system into any of those is a huge disservice.
@DerekMHansen Transponders and RFID isn’t new, the question is what point accuracy does it need to be? Amazing how some GPS companies are pushing low sampling rate products and posting peak velocity with junk data. It’s getting out of control.
If you watch the broadcasts or look @usatf#USATFOutdoors results, you'll notice @pttiming is doing live athlete tracking, showing constantly updating places and results. 👀hurdle results w/ time and place @ each hurdle.

@DGSouthTF@LFHStrack It only cost him 23 years of being a great friend and teammate. However, for HS’s that hire us to time their meets we try to make scoreboards available well below market rate when they aren’t already in use. Let us know if you are in the market for a new timer for your meets.
@B1GHomie@Young_jumps@themile If you can solve the inherent problem of dead air while an athlete prepares to take their attempt vs essentially having total control to the second of when the gun goes off, you will go a long way in trying to plan a broadcast.
