Let me, as someone who used to be Muslim, tell you why people don’t want to be Muslim.

Because Islam is a backward system: it encourages violence, legalizes child marriage and pedoph!lia, denies equality to people of other religions, erases women’s rights, and strips away basic freedoms generations fought and bled for.

The only reason most Muslims today are peaceful is because they have already abandoned large parts of traditional Islam and live by their own reformed version. And I am convinced that if Muhammad were alive today, he would declare war on those very peaceful Muslims for “corrupting” the religion, for blasphemy, for apostasy, and for not following Islam as he preached it.
