🚨 Enough of the lies! @DangoteGroup’s post is PROPAGANDA — a desperate attempt to twist the truth and beg for public sympathy while crushing Nigerian workers.
Let the world know:
900+ Nigerian Engineers were sacked for UNIONIZING — their constitutional right.
Even if you want to lie to Nigerians you should at least make the lies readable without stress and highlight them in bullets or numberings. Every succeeding paragraph is a repetition of the previous one.
You want to seek for public sympathy and you are still stressing the public
@JinchengSuzuki Reorganization of workforce that affects only Nigerians.. what about the foreigners, indians! What a dirty job by his HR & Media..
PENGASSAN stands with workers, not against progress. Dangote must provide fair pay and PPE. @BBCWorld@CNN@Reuters#TheTruthDangoteVsPENGASSAN
So you think because you own a company you can sack a worker at will?.
Aloysius v Diamond Bank Plc [2015] 58 NLLR (Pt. 199) 92, National industrial court of Nigeria held that termination must be for a “valid reason” even for an employee whose employment did not have statutory flavour.
The court relied on article 4 of the ILO Convention No. 158 and Recommendation No. 166 to hold that international best practice on termination required the employer to give a valid reason that must be either connected with the employee’s capacity, conduct, or based on the operational requirements of the undertaking, establishment, or service.
A lot of us are actually not ready for a Nigeria that works
Let's leave this Dangote vs PENGASSAN issue aside for a while. Dangote needs to sack his entire PR and media team for circulating such an illegible memorandum/circular or whatever they call it. It seems his media team are willing to join PENGASSAN since they are employees.
@DPengassan25573 This is only night shift workers? And @DangoteGroup said it's a small number. ? I've also sensed that the Dangote group is being crafty with their online publications
The public should know, Dangote did not build his refinery out of love for Nigeria. He saw a business opportunity where profit could be made, and he took it. Like any other business venture, there was competition and resistance along the way — but he scaled through successfully.
So, I ask you this: if you were an engineer at that refinery, would you simply give up your national treasure to another country, watching outsiders benefit more than those who actually built it?
@channelstv @DPengassan25573 @IU_Wakilii#TheTruth#DangoteVsPENGASSAN#Nigeria
In light of what has been happening lately with PENGASSAN. This was how the staffs were chased away from the refinery 24hrs after joining PENGASSAN and was followed up with a sack letter of all the Nigerian Engineers (1000 staff)

Dangote should recall the Workers sacked because of their decision to join their trade unions and PENGASAN should suspend their decision to cut off Gas supplies to Dangote refinery. The nation is proud of Dangote’s Refinery and it’s unprecedented level of success, but the right of workers to Unionise is embedded in the laws of our country.
Indians - who are gradually taking over all our industries are watching & smiling - while we tear down and justify the sack of our own brothers because they are acting within the law; for them to bring in more Indians to man all our companies at junior levels.
It will take YEARS to repair this damage to our psyche.
We do not see anything long term in this country.
Nigerian kids will graduate and Indians would have taken all the jobs. The few who may be lucky to enter the industry will slave for life.
The thing about trade unionism is that it’s a fight you must have in order to lead a decent life as a worker.
If you conveniently push it forward - the consequences are waiting just few steps ahead.
You trust a capitalist who is chasing profit 😂 ? Time shall tell.
We better pray PENGASSAN wins this fight.
The fact remains Dangote Refinery and PENGASSAN can and must coexist !
With due respect @FinMinNigeria, before assurances of “steady supply,” the FG must first call @DangoteGroup to order for the absurd sack of 900+ brilliant Nigerian engineers. 🚨
This is not just a labour dispute — it’s a direct violation of our labour laws and an assault on the
Absolutely spot on! The Nigerian worker cannot continue to be treated as disposable in their own country. No corporation should exploit cheap labour, replace locals with foreigners, and still call it “investment.”
True economic growth protects its people first. ✊🏾
PENGASSAN officially notified the Management of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals on September 22, 2025, that the company's Senior and Middle Management Staff have been successfully organized into the union, in line with extant laws.
