@RM_Transit Toronto gets shit on constantly, Toronto is also fighting with the burbs, trying to justify its own vision (bike lanes, Ontario Science center etc). Yet everywhere is PACKED with people outside of the city. It makes us sensitive. That’s all. I agree with you in principle.

@jbsteinberg As a Canadian retaliating or not retaliating makes absolutely no difference. The US government is pushing a relatively incoherent agenda (from what I see) and what Canada does or does not do has little impact. But retaliating at least builds a point of leverage for the future.

@EricDLombardi By 2005 detached houses were already unaffordable for couples in their mid-20s (GTA). You’d have to buy a condo or a townhouse. I was there.

It was possible in the late 90s though.
