The cause of death was a "traumatic laceration of the spleen" the coroner said.

I have been delivering babies for 31 years & have had my share of difficult deliveries. What happened during the delivery matters and I would expect the coroner and pathologist were aware of the clinical history.

This word choice "traumatic laceration" suggests to me that they are confident the splenic injury was caused by trauma.

There is little information so I am speculating, but if this was a difficult breech delivery, for example, & it was very hard to get the baby out, and multiple maneuvers were needed, & they found a laceration on the spleen - that would be reason to declare the cause of death "traumatic laceration of the spleen" and also to state that measles was not a contributing factor.

So the delivery events do matter.

At his press conference today, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro accused me of promoting conspiracy theories because I told him, during an earlier telephone conversation, that some Americans had religious objections to the MMR vaccine because it contained fetal tissue. “There is no fetal tissue in the MMR,” he told me.

This is a segment from a videotaped deposition of Stanley Plotkin, the inventor of the MMR vaccine. Plotkin admits to butchering 76 aborted normally developing fetuses, all over three months old, in just one of the many studies that led to the development of his vaccine.

The rubella virus used in MMR-II is grown on the cultured cell line composed of lung tissue from an aborted three-month-old female embryo and listed as “WI-38 human diploid lung fibroblasts” in the ingredients of MMR-II as portions of these cells end up in each vial of MMR II.

During Dr. Plotkin’s deposition, Attorney Aaron Siri asked: “Isn’t it true that MMR II contains approximately 150 nanograms cells substrate double-strand DNA and single-strand DNA per dose purposefully fragmented to approximately 215 base pairs in length?” Dr. Plotkin answered: “Yeah, that’s probably correct, yes.”

This equals approximately 646 billion pieces of human DNA from an aborted fetal cell line in each vial of MMR-II.

In addition to the human DNA, there is also an unspecified amount of human cellular debris in each dose of MMR-II.

During our phone conversation, Governor Shapiro also accused me of promoting vaccine misinformation. When I asked him for an example, he was unable to provide one, but this did not deter him from publicly repeating that accusation during his press event. As I told him, HHS does not tolerate misinformation by any employee. I offered to point to hundreds of instances of vaccine misinformation by the Biden administration about which I had never heard him complain.

Governor Shapiro also faulted me for the decline in Pennsylvania vaccination rates from 97% - 93.2%. When I pushed back on this assertion, he acknowledged that most of the decline occurred during the Biden administration. It’s unfortunately true that the government lockdowns, deceptions, manipulation, and overreach during Covid severely damaged public faith in the vaccine program.

Governor Shapiro’s press conference was an example of the same species of gaslighting.

The Trump administration is working to restore public trust not by gaslighting or manipulating, but by being truthful, at last, with the public.

Governor Shapiro's unseemly rush to Lancaster County to convene a national press conference and his giddy delight in announcing two measles deaths was a morose commentary on the contemporary political dialogue. The performance was a replay of the Democrats' COVID playbook: fearmongering, misinformation, finger-pointing, and the weaponization of infectious disease fears for political gain.

The announcement appears to have been premature, and the deaths may even have been altogether fabricated by one of the Governor's hopeful staffers. The Lancaster County Coroner says that it has no record of any measles deaths. State law requires that all measles deaths be reported to the coroner.

Governor Shapiro shattered tradition and violated standard public health policy by refusing to share information with the County Health Department or CDC.

Since I have been in office, CDC has had a superb record of cooperation, information sharing, and professionalism with blue- and red-state governors and health officials. Those collaborations have resulted in effective control of the global measles outbreak in this country.

Governor Shapiro got his headlines. He correctly gambled that the slavish mainstream media would dutifully amplify his scolding without any effort to check his facts.

I have been highly critical of LNP because of their partisan activities/unethical conduct in recent years, but this is one of the most objective articles that I have seen from them in a long time. It answers real questions people have, puts some new and important information about an important story on the record, and confirms many of the facts I have reported over the last several days.

Key points:

"Lancaster County’s coroner said Thursday he was surprised by Gov. Josh Shapiro’s claim at a news conference earlier this week of two measles-associated deaths of Lancaster County residents: as of Thursday, his office still had zero measles deaths..."

Confirms the facts I have been discussing since the Governor's press conference - Lancaster County actually has zero confirmed measle's deaths.

"Yes, a newborn male who died of a 'splenatic rupture' tested positive for measles, Diamantoni said, but measles was not the cause of death — the laceration to the spleen is the cause. And measles was ruled out as a contributing factor because, Diamantoni said, 'there was no swelling or enlargement whatsoever' of the spleen and there was 'massive blood loss' from the laceration."

This confirms my prior statements, but adds some slightly new information, which is important, to the public record. Measles was not the cause, or a contributing cause to the death.

"Shapiro said both deaths involved unvaccinated people - but a newborn wouldn’t have been vaccinated, Diamantoni said."

This is an important point I have been making. The PA Secretary of Health says she thoroughly reviewed the cases. So she would know that vaccination was impossible for a baby who died at birth. Thus, emphasizing in the press conference that the individual was unvaccinated - ie making it seem like this was by choice, shows deception by state officials.

"Diamantoni had no information about the second measles-associated death announced by the state, and DOH has not released any information."

Confirms the information I have been reporting. Why do we still know nothing about the second purported case?

"Coroners and medical examiners in Lancaster’s border counties — Berks, Chester, Dauphin, Lebanon and York — told an LNP | LancasterOnline reporter on Thursday that they had no records of measles-related deaths, and calls by the reporter to coroners in other parts of the state are ongoing."

Thus, the already highly unlikely scenario that a person from Lancaster County died of measles in another county and it was reported to another County Coroner, is made even more unlikely. This is also new information, and is actually real reporting work that journalists used to do.

“'The law is: they should be reported to us,' he said."

Confirming what I had already reported that, yes, any measles death must be reported to the County Coroner. This is the law. Thus, State Officials saying there can be a second measles death out there that is unreported to a County Coroner is either false or they are potentially in violation of the law.

Now, LNP take the next step and actually ask hard questions to the people who held the press conference.
