Jeju adasında Mayıs ayında ailesi tarafından kayıp olarak bildirilen genç bir kadının cesedi bulundu. ancak işin korkunç tarafı, kayıp ihbarının hemen ardından bir polisin aile ile iletişime geçerek kızlarıyla temas kurulduğunu, güvende olduğunu, onları görmek istemediğini söylemesi. böylece arama çalışmaları duruyor. yaklaşık üç ay sonra vakaya bakan başka bir polisin araştırmaları sonucu kadının cesedine ulaşılıyor, hem de 10 yıldır yaşadığı yerin sadece 1 km uzağında. vakaya bakan ilk polis sadece yalan söylemekle kalmamış tüm kamera görüntülerini de yok etmiş.

bu olayın ardından yine kayıp olarak bildirilen bir erkek cesedine ulaşılıyor ve onun vakasına da aynı polisin baktığı ortaya çıkıyor. bu polisin 200’ü aşkın kayıp olayının bu şekilde üstünü örttüğü düşünülüyor.

Jeju adasında son 3 yılda yaklaşık 3000 kayıp olduğu söyleniyor.
