Only one chance in this lifetime…
Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
For a modern interface, liquid glass is actually pretty "lickable". I think all the hate around it is centred on the loss of Apple's software excellence as a whole.
There's far more bugs here than any of us are used to, bugs which should have been quashed in QA or Alphas.
I’m having a hard time coming to grips with the hatred shown between Americans and how many of our civil and political leaders are willing to justify our own citizens being killed by Federal agents in the streets.
Personally, I believe that both Renee Good and Alex Pretti were wrongfully killed and we need to see real accountability now. On top of that, our government's recounting of these events has been awful, it's the kind of stuff we expect out of Russia, not the US.
In fact, the labeling of protestors as terrorists, calling it manufactured dissent and directly contradicting what we can see in public videos is what’s happening in Iran right now.
We need to turn this around, and fast.
In 2004 we learned that we had to change the name of our show from “Avatar” to “Avatar the Last Airbender” because James Cameron already had the rights to a movie called Avatar.
Now the sequel is called “The Way of Water.”
If part 3 is called “The Firebending Masters” we riot
peace time: deploying fiber internet takes days per mile and will cost you $60k
war time: fiber internet is flying at you at 40mph for free. there's nothing you can do to stop it
I don't want to see American soldiers fighting against Russia in Ukraine. That's why I support military aid to Ukraine.
Ukraine hasn't and is not asking for US or European boots on the ground, their ask has been for equipment to do the fighting themselves.
There's a real argument as to whether giving in to Russian aggression or holding the line is more likely to lead to a broader war. Personally, I think giving in sets the stage for a larger conflict that forces our hand down the road.
Because of that belief, I see arming Ukraine as in our best interest. It's a win for the United States to strongly support an ally that wants to fight for their freedom while also pushing back and degrading the Russian military. We help them fight today to prevent our sons and daughters fighting a bigger war later on.
I understand there are strong arguments against my belief, but this is why I advocate to support Ukraine so long as they have the will to stay in the fight.
@rmondello When will Apple let me add my Apple ID passkey to Bitwarden? I’m hoping the magic passkey showing up in Keychain automagically is just transition stuff and not walled garden shenanigans. Passkeys shouldn’t lock people into a password manager!
@ChristianSelig@orlandoferrer It happens a lot for me when the previous page is a Google search. The URL bar updates to show the search query but doesn’t render the page.
Homebrew might be one of the most popular distributions of Linux. macOS has one of the most popular distros of Linux and Windows is the one of the best desktop environments for Linux. So is this finally the year of the linux desktop?
