After my survey on the real property market in Victoria Falls, these are my takes;
- Victoria Falls is in Zimbabwe but out of Zimbabwe. No Zig. USD economy only
- 3 star hotels are average $150-$165 per person per night B&B inclusive
- Boutique hotels (hotels with 60 rooms and less) are the most preferred ones eg Shongwe, Waterfalls, Insika, Pioneer, Mbano etc
- Big hotels are struggling like Elephant Hills, Azambezi etc
- Land/properties are $55-75 per square metre in prime hospitality areas
- Hotels and lodges are like tuckshops in Vic Falls
- Wild horizons and Shearwater are biggest travel hire and activity coordinators
- White owned hotels and lodges are doing very good
- TV is of no need in a room
- No more tubs, showers only
- Tourists need their privacy
