I’m starting to wonder if people have become immune to hearing my story.

Dr. Joan Vernikos says standing up every 30 minutes does more for you than the gym.

Vernikos ran NASA's life sciences division, where her job was keeping astronauts healthy in space.

She put volunteers in bed to mimic zero gravity, then tested how often they needed to move to stay healthy.

A once-a-day session, like the gym, barely moved the needle.

When she had them get up every two hours it improved, and every 30 minutes worked best of all.

Ivermectin is the wonder drug that keeps on giving: It’s now showing promise against the New World screwworm in both cattle AND HUMANS.

Multiple field trials and case reports have found that ivermectin can kill the larvae responsible for these devastating infestations.

In one human case series, physicians treated six patients suffering from severe oral infestations. After receiving ivermectin, the remaining larvae died and became significantly easier to remove. All six patients recovered without major complications.

Another report described two patients with New World screwworm infestations around the eye socket. The larvae had burrowed deep into surrounding tissue, creating a serious risk of progressive tissue destruction. After treatment with ivermectin and wound debridement, the larvae died, could be removed more effectively, and further damage was brought under control.

The findings mirror what veterinarians have observed for years in livestock, where ivermectin has been used to combat parasitic infestations that threaten animal health and agricultural production.

Once again, ivermectin appears to be doing exactly what it was designed to do: kill parasites.

He didn't cry when they saw the blood-soaked shirt used in a desperate attempt to save Austin's life.

But he cried when he was found guilty.

And he cried again when he was sentenced to 35 years.

The only tears the jury saw were for his own fate, not for the life that was taken.

Austin Metcalf was robbed of his high school graduation, he will never get another birthday, another chance to live the life that was stolen from him.

Thirty-five years may be justice under the law, but for many, it doesn't feel like enough.
