A notable highlight of this electoral season is the unprecedented registration of female voters that signifies a hopeful shift towards gender inclusivity, yet it also underscores the persistent barriers to full electoral participation. #SDG5 #WomenPoliticalEmpowerment

This morning UN staff honoured colleagues who had made the ultimate sacrifice. The UN flag flew at half-mast at the Organization’s offices around the world on Monday in memory of the 101 staff members of the UN agency for Palestine refugees, UNRWA, killed in Gaza since 7 October.

[UNDP Pakistan @UNDP_Pakistan]

Today, with our flag at half mast, #UNDPinPakistan joins @antonioguterres in observing a minute of silence to honor and mourn our @UNRWA colleagues killed in Gaza. Civilians and civilian infrastructure must be protected. #NotATarget

Our thoughts go to all families that lost their loved ones in #Gaza. #NotATarget

[Marc-André Franche @MAFrancheUN]
