@carolinefiennes You should, Caroline. I was previously an int dev consultant, now a strategy consultant. I assume the consultant is being paid a healthy amount, your expertise cost to gain, and the results will presumably not be publicly available like academic research.

It's a reminder to me, I think, to have more patience and compassion for my family and, broadly, our community. It's not a single ignorant person, it's a whole network of misinformation and racism that need to be combatted.

Good news: my commitment these past few months have worked. My mom has started actively doubting the things she hears about the election / Trump. She was even laughing about him refusing to concede.

Bad news: She's gotten pushback from her colleagues and our extended family. They told her, I quote, "The election's not over, the FBI's investigating. Anyway, only black people are happy, you know they love free govt money."

Her confusion & frustration break my heart.
