This election will be a pivotal point in the future of New Zealand.

That is why we need bold policies for real and fundamental change to drive down the cost of living, secure a future for kiwis, and reinforce who we are as New Zealanders.

NZFirst has already announced campaign policies including:

- Breaking up the power companies.
- Splitting the supermarket duopoly.
- Re-establishing a competitive state-owned bank.
- Returning mining royalties created in the regions back to the regions.
- Establishing a select committee inquiry into those who were injured by the Covid 19 vaccine injuries.
- KiwiSaver policy of making it compulsory with automatic sign-up at birth $1000 kickstart.
- Establishing a $100 billion Future Fund that will invest in a thirty-year infrastructure plan for our country.
- We will pull out of the Paris Agreement that is senselessly hamstringing our economy.
- Citizens only are allowed to vote in our country.
- Investing $1billion to start exploring our gas and oil reserves in our deep-sea basins so we can own and export our own oil and gas.
- Introducing a ‘Kiwi Kids Grant’ that will support New Zealand citizens raising the first three children, through the first three years of their lives.

These are the kind of bold polices that will change the status quo, reform our country, and put New Zealand back on a pathway to prosperity.

Statement from Ani O’Brien:

Today I asked the Court to lift the suppression of my identity in regards to my Harmful Digital Communications case against Martyn Bradbury.

The publicity and speculation generated by Mr Bradbury despite the interim court orders since these proceedings became public meant that the orders were causing more harm than they were preventing. I would rather put my name to my decision and explain for myself why I took this action.

I want to be absolutely clear that I have never sought to prevent Martyn Bradbury from criticising my politics, opinions, or public work. My affidavit explicitly states that Mr Bradbury should be free to do so. I went to Netsafe, and ultimately the Court, due to, what was in my view, a sustained and increasingly personal campaign that extended into defamatory and cruel harassment. I had asked him directly to stop and he told me to go to Netsafe or the Police.

The orders issued by the court were interim orders. They were temporary measures put in place so the matter could go to Court and both parties could be heard. They were not a final determination of the case or a permanent prohibition on Martyn Bradbury being able to talk about me. Unfortunately, Mr Bradbury chose to turn that short interim period into a very public campaign portraying himself as a free speech martyr facing imprisonment.

This is my personal proceeding. It was not brought by, funded by, or on behalf of the Free Speech Union. Mr Bradbury’s claims to the contrary are false. I continue to believe the Harmful Digital Communications Act is deeply flawed and needs reform. My experience in this case has strengthened rather than weakened that view.

The substantive matter remains before the Court, so I will not litigate the legal issues through social media. I will, however, now be able to speak more openly and correct the incorrect information that has circulated.

Opportunity Party leader Qiulae Wong appeared on Herald Now this morning and agreed that 22-year-old thieves and robbers could go through family conferences instead of the adult court system, before quickly claiming “that’s not our policy.”

Bridge asked what sort of crimes would be suitable for a 22-year-old to go through a family conference instead of adult court.

Bridge: “Like robbing?”
Wong’s response: “Theft, yeah.”

TOP quickly abandoned its policy of raising the youth justice age to 25 the moment it ran into social media backlash and now the appears to have no firm position at all, telling voters they’ll have to wait until the end of September for more details.

You simply cannot spend months presenting yourself as the serious, evidence-based alternative and then ditch a core justice policy the second it becomes awkward.
