Alacritty has many issues on Windows so I am not using it

Try Windows 10 or 11 with WSL and WSLg and Visual Studio. It's FAST. I'm here in Windows Terminal, Ubuntu on WSL, VS Code, and running The Gimp (native Linux app) all at the same time. Pretty and fast.

@dex90s @BeingHorizontal How should I weigh the advantages and disadvantages comparing parquet and database (say SQL). Many people argue that parquet is not database and lacks many features of database. On the other hand, I feel like parquet is more suitable for ML or data science

@quantguy3 @BeingHorizontal Above 100Mb start looking for parquet.. If you need schema flexibility go for Avro ;) In general try to plan out your needs ahead of time.. in your code go for software architecture patterns to keep your logic independent from the storage implementation & details ;)

What is your opinion on file based storage like Parquet versus a real database? I am confused

@craigaloewen @Windows By running vscode inside WSL 2, I mean VSCode is just like "developing locally" on Linux without the need for "vscode remote - wsl" extension anymore. Hope my question is clear.

One serious question though, I am confused. I am now running WSL 2 and vscode on Windows with "Visual Studio Code Remote - WSL" extension. Would you recommend us running vscode inside WSL 2 now?
