@PaulRobEsq @medialens All of human history has existed in the +-1.5°C range. While life in general benefits from a slightly warmer climate, our agriculture does not. Warmer weather causes more extreme weather events and destroys agricultural outputs. So it does not matter what "life" wants.

@PaulRobEsq @medialens It means what I said. The first experiment that demonstrated that an increase of CO2 in the atmosphere could cause the climate to get warmer was done in 1856. This was done by establishing that CO2 had a better ability to retain heat than other gases.
