My co-parent was dx'd with stg 4 pancreatic cancer (29Dec24) and now his health insurance (20+yrs of premiums) is denying a PET scan and biopsy. "They just want me to die. Just die. Just die." He works for a hospital.

@MorePerfectUS Industry funded studies need to be banned, be it food or pharma. Big (whatever) has been writing the policy standards from the start - at the core, it's the corrupting influence of money in politics. Publicly funded elections and studies are essential for quality policy.

@physicsgeek 3rd grade, 8yrs old, teacher rolled the TV into the classroom - we were so excited. Devastation hit quick. Our teacher had applied, but was too chunky - he was a student favorite and can't imagine what it would have been to lose him. It was my friend's bday and 4 days after mine.
