Proposed Joshua Falls to Yeat 765kV transmission line is a disaster. It would impact thousands of acres and property owners. Projects of this scale must serve the public, not privately-owned datacenters. #Virginia#EnergyPolicy#PropertyRights#DominionEnergy#ValleyLink
@johnrich@DominionEnergy@BigKennyTV It involves 9 counties across the state of Virginia, they call it the Valley Link project. Sadly they are trying to build a huge substation called YEAT in rural Culpeper county.
@johnrich@johnrich the beautiful state of Virginia sure could use your help to fight @DominionEnergy They are trying to take beautiful farms and homes of rural Virginians - home of @BigKennyTV Culpeper is part of it
@TruthWolf56@LeighBrown@nardotrealtor You are wrong, as someone you lives in the area I can tell you we are currently fighting it. There’s a meeting tonight in fact.
This is getting ridiculous. If you want to build masses of datacenters, build them next to the power plants they'll need to operate.
And don't build them until those power plants exist - bidding up electricity prices hurts everyone.
@johnrich@SecRollins@USDA@epaleezeldin Dominion is attempting to build a 765kv power line across 9 rural Virginia counties ending in a huge YEAT substation in a small rural community. The Valley Link project isplanning on sacrificing the small rural counties to get power to the hundreds of data centers in Virginia
