Imām Ibn Bāz stated:

“The Muslim feels great pain and profound sorrow at the deterioration of the Palestinian issue from a bad condition to one even worse, and at how it becomes increasingly complicated with the passing of the days, until it has reached the situation it has reached in recent times.

This is due to the disagreement among the neighboring states, their failure to stand firmly as one united rank against their enemy, and their failure to adhere to the rule of Islam, upon which Allah has made victory dependent and has promised its people succession and establishment upon the earth.

This is a warning of great danger and a grave outcome if the neighboring states do not hasten once again to unify their ranks and adhere to the rule of Islam regarding this issue, an issue that concerns them and concerns the entire Islamic world.

It should also be pointed out in this regard that the Palestinian issue is, first and last, an Islamic issue. However, the enemies of Islam have exerted tremendous efforts to remove it from the Islamic framework and to make the non-Arab Muslims believe that it is merely an Arab issue with which non-Arabs have no concern.

It appears that they have succeeded in this to some extent.

Therefore, I hold that no solution to this issue can be reached except by treating the issue as an Islamic issue, through solidarity among the Muslims in order to rescue it, and by fighting the Jews with an Islamic jihād, until the land is returned to its people, and until those Jews who came from other lands return to the countries from which they came, while the indigenous Jews remain in their lands under the rule of Islam, not under communist rule nor secular rule.

In this way, the truth will be victorious and falsehood will be defeated, and the people of the land will return to their land under the rule of Islam, not under any other rule.

And Allah is the Granter of success.”

The First Saudi State governed Makkah **FAR BETTER** than the Ottoman-backed Sharīfs by literally every metric.

The dystopian Ottoman rule of Makkah consisted of the Hāshimī Sharīfs constantly going to war against one another to gain power.

A brother would fight his brother, a nephew would fight his uncle.

The fighting in Makkah would sometimes get so bad that congregational prayers would cease, and one bullet even damaged the Kaʿbah.

Pro-Ottoman historians like Aḥmad Zaynī Daḥlān and Ayyūb Ṣabrī Pāshā documented this reality extensively in their books.

This sequence of family violence would continue for over 100 years until Makkah was liberated by Imām Saʾūd b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz in 1803.

The Ottoman-controlled Hāshimī rule of Makkah is not and should never be considered a good model.
