This post claims that Hindu women of various ages were raped and killed by Muslims in Bangladesh. However, this claim is completely false.

The video is not from Bangladesh. It is actually footage of a tragic incident in Uttar Pradesh, India. On July 2, 2024, a stampede occurred during a religious gathering in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the reported deaths of over 115 people.

Last August, Hindutva propaganda accounts circulated this same video, falsely claiming it depicted Hindu women being raped and killed in Bangladesh. At that time, multiple Indian fact-checking websites debunked the claim. Now, the propaganda accounts are once again sharing the same video with the same false claim.

Journalist and Human rights advocate @FriedrichPieter requested the UN Special Rapporteur on minority issues to conduct a country visit to India. In his speech in the @UN he mentioned,
