Ok, I have a solution to a problem everyone has been facing in #web3 gaming.

What we want is the inevitable merging of web2 and web3...the convergence. web2 and web3 tribalism keep this from happening.

The solution is #web5 gaming. web2 and web3 come together to create web5. Math FTW.

A note about planned tokenomics for @Flipit.

Nodes will be operational within the next month. You have until then to get a node and prepare to run it. These nodes are ERC-1155s from the beginning.

Those nodes will be run for ~90 days, during which time you will receive points for operation.

After 90 days, there will be a TGE for the token, and those who put in the work via running the nodes will receive some of the token.

There are no giant piles of thousands of nodes held by the team.

There are no times where a handful of people gobble up the distro at the beginning.

The idea here is that we want a broad fair launch distribution, with no massive centralization.

Ok! Giant post time!

A lot of people are asking why I left my position at @GoGalaGames. 

I just spent the whole week in Ho Chi Minh City for #GMVietnam. In addition to the whole conference circuit crew, I met a huge number of good friends I have made over the last 10+ years in crypto. I bumped into @Eug_Ng from @DWFLabs, @Crypto_Ciara from @CsquaredVC and so many more I can't even name.

Overall, there were great responses to my creation of @LFGincorporated. There was unanimous enthusiasm and approval. Everyone loved it and recognizes what it means for the whole ecosystem. 

A few asked why it took so long. 

Before I begin this whole thread though, I want to make sure one thing is understood. I am still an advisor to @GoGalaGames and still speak regularly with @Benefactor0101, @mark_skaggs, and many others still at Gala. I did not leave on bad terms or in a contentious fashion at all, nor was I fired. I have left Gala, the company, but I am even more committed and dedicated to the $GALA ecosystem than ever before. 

There are, of course, thing I didn't like about existing under the corporate umbrella at Gala...which is a major part of why I am doing what I am doing. Gala has rather famously not done a ton of web3 marketing, web3 partnerships, or...well...a lot of web3 stuff. The ecosystem and community is amazing, as are the employees at Gala, some of which are my best friends. This applies to the company itself as well, but the company is a COMPANY first, and web3 second. This is what you have to do when you have shareholders...company and shareholders have to come first.

This is not anyone's fault...it is a natural result of the gap between web2 and web3, which we have seen multiple times recently with some absolutely bonkers ToS from other games and NFT projects.

The problem i that as a web3 guy, this caused me no small amount of frustration. It obviously creates a natural point of conflict when web2 company stuff doesn't align with web3 community stuff. I am and have forever been the starry-eyed idealist wanting to see the best of web3 realized but encountering the pressures and red tape of web2 business practices. I was affectionately referred to as the "give it all away guy" internally. This isn't because they DON'T want to give stuff away, but just cause it doesn't always math in a way that it is justifiable. This is frustrating, but true. 

So this is where @LFGincorporated comes in. We exist to be a full service project foundry and incubator for the whole web3 world, with a special place in our hearts for the $GALA and #GalaChain ecosystems. 

One super super super important point is that LFG IS NOT GALA. This means that we can have all sorts of conversations that are in the best interest of the ecosystem as a whole without taking the good of the COMPANY into consideration. We can work with and partner with and who we can talk to. 

Working with Gala, the company, I couldn't work with a lot of creators (like @0xJesusMartinez, etc) because they did exactly what a lot of creators in the space do (whether they should or not is another question for another time). In my capacity as an employee of the COMPANY, I could not even have some of these conversations. However, now that I am outside of the company, I can engage with them in a much more candid manner. I have never been shy about what I have seen as the shortcomings of Gala (while also seeing it as the creators of the ecosystem with the most growth potential in the space), but now I am quite unchained in terms of what I can talk about and who I can engage with. 

The other thing that I can do now is fund stuff that I believe in. At Gala, there was a whole process, complete with PowerPoints and revenue projections, to determine whether something should have been done. This applied to partnerships, advertising, events, etc...but it requires that MATH be available to create those justifications. That isn't always possible.
