Exploration, learning & knowledge is what life’s all about!

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

@adamhillscomedy The sheer audacity of this astounds me

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

The country that does *nothing* to stop gun crime that kills thousands each year, including children in their classrooms also thinks it’s ok to deny women the right to their own bodies, choices & force them to full term whether a foetus is alive or not

@TheLastLeg #isitok that the world goes to war in the Middle East for a dictator with “supposed” weapons of mass destruction who’s not invading anywhere but they won’t go to war for a sovereign nation currently being invaded by a dictator with nuclear arms & a s**t load of weapons?! Shocking

Word of the day is 'roundaboutation' (19th century): bloviating or evasive talk that focuses on everything but the subject in hand.

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

Can always count on #24HrsAE to tug at the heartstrings ❤️‍🩹
#thankyouNHS for all the wonderful people working to make people better, day in, day out.

#nobodytoldme I couldn’t lie to the Queen, to Parliament, to the country, break rules whenever I feel like it & plead ignorance, and #nobodytoldme that I’m a complete smeghead! - #BozoBojo #JohnsonTheLiar #JohnsonOut

[Chris Cook @xtophercook]

I've been to some bad parties, but none so bad that I've thought I was at a work meeting.

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

Haha brilliant! 🤣

If you get on the train while people are still getting off, may your tea be forever cold and all your biscuits smashed to smithereens.

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

The simple truth is that our lifestyles & endless pursuit of “things” is unsustainable.
Are the world’s leaders *really* going to make #COP26 #COP26Glasgow count & actively start making the changes now? By 2050 is too late.

Today really rams home Evelyn B. Hall’s quote, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".
Listening, tolerance & talking through things in debate are basic things we should all be doing. Not murdering people. #SirDavidAmess #knifecrime

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

Such terrible news of MP #SirDavidAmess being killed whilst just doing his job. Condolences to his family & friends.
Incidents like this are clearly symptoms of a society gone wayward & we all need to address how people deal with conflict, disagreement & debate #societyintatters

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

Watching #EarthshotPrize on @BBC & can’t understand why it isn’t broadcast earlier in the evening? #ClimateCrisis/#ClimateEmergency is so important & all possible solutions so vital. Why not #inspire more people to act with this eye opening spotlight? @KensingtonRoyal #repair

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

Has it crossed people’s minds that if they run all the petrol stations dry, there’ll be no fuel for the HGV drivers bringing all the food & goods to supermarkets/stores & it’ll actually cause *more* problems than before?! #fuelcrisis #fuelshortage #BrexitShambles #BrexitBritain

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

Yet another ⁦@Conservatives⁩ U-turn… 🙄
England vaccine passport plans ditched, Sajid Javid says https://t.co/oyIzsulcDM

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

#ToryShambles govt “urge caution” but throw all caution to the wind for #FreedomDay.
France have averaged 7,870 new cases per day last week. UK has averaged 45,242. Yet quarantine required on return from France. #AmberPlus Think I’ll be safer there!
#PlagueIsland #JohnsonVariant

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

#FreedomDay…
I’ll be keeping the simple measures to protect myself & those around me, like wearing my mask.
I’ll be careful with how many friends & family I see.
I’ll be thinking of other’s health needs which might be impacted by my actions.
#WearAMask #Covid19UK #PlagueIsland

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

@CombatCoach Yes, I think you’re right on that - there will be far reaching consequences from this pandemic, all over the world. The tax bill is going to be immense to recoup the expenditure!
I’m sorry to hear you’ve not received the support from govt you needed - hope things improve for you.

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

#FreedomDay?? Freedom from what?!
Spare a thought for NHS staff who’ve been working non-stop for 18months & this day will now increase their workload yet again!
Anyone with 2 brain cells can see rising cases, hospital admissions & deaths are only going to get worse. #PlagueIsland

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

@CombatCoach I understand people’s want to return to “normal” but it’s not coming back as too much has changed. A “new normal is required.
For the vulnerable, today is the complete opposite of #FreedomDay, shielding for so long now & removal of *all* common sense measures today is ludicrous.

[Rach K @rachmillipede]

@CombatCoach I feel sorry for those who’ve lost their businesses & industries that have suffered because of closures. Business & the economy will recover - just look at the recovery after the economic meltdown in 2009/2010. But doing away with a simple thing, such as masks, is short sighted.
