Nick Clegg is now worth an estimated £100m and has joined the board of a data centre company with ambitions to become a $1trn hyperscaler. So propping up a Tory-led austerity coalition seems to have worked out quite well for the guy.
Our Danny
Who art in prison
Racist be thy name
Thy balaclava come
Thy will be done
In ports as it is on dinghies
Give us this day
Our daily funding
& forgive us our racism as we intimidate those who speak against us
& lead us all into aggravation
But deliver us from being civil🙏
Very sad news that the wonderful Bonnie Greer, playwright and novelist has died aged 77. I interviewed her a couple of times and watched her on BBC QT. She was a smart, sassy, firebrand who will be missed from our public discourse RIP 🙏🏽
Stop complaining. Once you survive schools with crumbling concrete roofs and £60k of student debt, you can look forward to a gig economy job and rent that takes half your salary until you get to claim the worst pension in Europe at an ever-increasing retirement age.
Hunter Biden: “They have already blown through the rule of law in so many ways. They do not believe in free & fair elections. They’re going try to steal it. They claimed the election was stolen so they could create chaos to change the rules in their favor”
If reform win, these thugs will be patrolling the streets, checking your ID, your sexuality, your gender, your ethnic background all to decide if you’re entitled to be here or not.
We are on a precipice and we need to act.
"You think the country is fixed in favour of the rich now? You ain't seen nothing yet. My American friends are going to fucking own you, and their profits will be obscene."
An absolute must see. And I don’t say that often.
The only question: Where is the BBC in all of this ? Ah yes, they did a chumsy interview with Farage talking to Chris Mason.
At what point does a British by-election get awarded to the silver medalist, à la Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis? Asking for a friend of a friend, i.e. me. #Clacton
I intend to keep re-tweeting this to preserve Ruth’s memory on EduTwitter. If you feel it’s a good thought, please RT, or drop a like. I can’t believe that inspection did this to a headteacher & I’ve dedicated my last book on inspection defence to her.
RIP Ruth Perry.
