@ExCllrRedmond GPs in Ireland are useless anyway. It's the worst service I encountered in any country I've been to or lived in. The problem is not the fee but the efficiency of the system. Eg. pregnant women have to go to gp regularly and they don't know what to do with them. What's the point?
