A THANK YOU MESSAGE TO MY MOM!

Since I converted from #Islam to #Christianity, I have had peace only with my mom. My relatives have rejected me and even harmed me just because I converted from Islam to Christianity. But my mom has always stood by me and helped me escape from danger.

If it weren’t for my mom, I don’t know what might have happened to me.

When my dad locked me up for three days without any food, my mom secretly brought me water. My father is the leader of the Fulanis in our local government area.

When he went to a meeting, my mom took the opportunity to break the lock, help me escape, and give me 1,000 Naira for transportation. My dad had taken everything from me after I converted to Christianity.

My mom knew that my punishment was death because of my faith. That’s why she tried her best to see that I escaped from my father’s house.

When my dad returned and found out what my mom did, he beat her severely, to the extent that neighbours had to come and help her. He refused to feed her or let her into the house until she found me.

It has been very difficult for her. My dad even told her he would kill her if she didn’t find me. Because of the constant beatings, she had to run away for her safety too.

After she left, she searched for me and eventually found me. I then took her to the hospital because of the beating she received from my dad.

We continued living in a small room with my wife and daughter. Once she recovered, I tried to find her a better place. Thanks to God and the support of fellow believers, I was able to get her an apartment where she is now staying.

My dad has never asked about her since then. She always encourages me to stay committed to my faith. That’s why I have great respect for women because their love and care remain, no matter what their children are going through.

Please remember us in your daily prayers. I am still praying to bring her to know Christ.

But they can’t sell you a single steak from that same cow unless it was processed under federal inspection.

Joel Salatin says decades of regulation have decimated the small, local slaughterhouses that once served farming communities across America.

“Our county had a dozen small slaughterhouse operations.”

“Many of them were located on farms, and it was just a farmer who enjoyed doing this or somebody in his family enjoyed doing this, and they would just do it kind of for the community.”

“But this has all been shut down.”

“You can’t sell meat.”

“You can sell a live animal.”

“But you can’t sell a cut of a T-bone steak, a rib eye, a pound of ground beef from an animal, from any beef, pork, lamb, or goat, unless it’s processed under federal inspection.”
