@SenTedCruz@bidhaanDahir Thank you, Senator Ted Cruz, for your continued support and efforts to strengthen U.S.–Somaliland relations. Somaliland remains a reliable partner in counterterrorism, maritime security, and regional stability. We welcome continued dialogue and recognition of Somaliland
Thank You
Breaking | A meaningful moment for the people of #Somaliland. Today, Monday, may mark a historic chapter in Africa’s diplomatic landscape. 🇲🇬 Madagascar, 🇰🇲 Comoros, and 🇻🇺 Vanuatu are reportedly expected to announce their recognition of Somaliland, with 🇬🇲 The Gambia
As Somaliland prepares to celebrate its Independence Day, this development reflects growing international acknowledgment of a nation built on democracy, peace, stability, and resilience.
In the UAE, we proudly celebrate the 18th of May, Somaliland National Day!
As UAE–Somaliland ties continue to grow stronger, recognition feels closer than ever. And I mean any second now! History has a beautiful way of honoring resilience. Happy National Day to the people of Somaliland 🙏🏻
Hello from Hargeisa! UAE may become the second country (after Israel) to recognise Somaliland tomorrow. Historic — and @Mr_Andrew_Fox and I are here in Somaliland for an episode of @The_Brink_!

We act with clarity and strategy; to our partners, we are a stable democracy whose commitments endure beyond governments; to our adversaries, we seek no harm, but remain resilient and fully capable of defending our interests if challenged.

Somaliland has learnt how to cope with disappointment and bounce back.
Crucially, Somaliland has demonstrated ability to turn adversity into opportunity.
In the course of the last 30 years, It proved its resilience, kept on doing the right thing to consolidate its internal stability, social cohesion and democratic state-building.
Today, it has a good chance of achieving international recognition.
In the plausible event Israel's recognition does not generate the sufficient diplomatic cascade in favour of its recognition, you can be sure Somaliland will not implode, nor will it self-immolate in despair.
The typical expected response, characteristic of its maturity and philosophical mindset, is to take disappointment well in its stride and maintain focus on its state-building.
"The world will not end if we are not recognised. There is tomorrow," is a refrain I constantly hear whenever I visit Somaliland.
This positive and philosophical mindset is Somaliland's greatest social capital and its beating heart - the source of its extraordinary strength and mental fortitude.
The AU mission that recommended Somaliland’s independence.
"The fact that the “union between Somaliland and Somalia was never ratified” and malfunctioned makes Somaliland’s search for recognition historically unique in African political history" 1/2

The President of the Republic of Somaliland holds official talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. Recognition of Somaliland by the world’s largest democracy is imminent.
This is exactly what Algeria's foreign minister said at the UN General Assembly in September:
"Establishing a state is not a choice, but a necessity. It is not a favor, but a right.”
Only when it refers to the Palestinians does the UN support and applaud, and when it comes to Somaliland, they condemn and oppose.
