Now that everything is done & dusted, I'm actually very glad that ColorOS is finally coming to OnePlus devices, and is one of the best things that could've happened.

This might be an unpopular opinion to some of you, but I have my experience and reasons.

Having used both the OnePlus 13 before, and now the OPPO Find X9 Pro, it has become clear to me that OxygenOS had long since stopped receiving the same level of attention & care as ColorOS when it came to addressing bugs and software issues.

ColorOS is clearly the best implementation of OPPO's software: yep, even better than OxygenOS, imo. It gets quicker fixes for bugs & issues, and feels even smoother to use.

Yes, some of you will have reservations on the transition, and that's valid: OPPO has never had a good software reputation, even today, and most average users are unaware that ColorOS is almost the same as OxygenOS.

This perception among average users will be the biggest challenge for OnePlus to change, which holds the OnePlus brand and OxygenOS name on a pedestal and not OPPO's.

However, I believe that as long as they don't mess up the ColorOS 17 update for OnePlus & realme devices, I'm very sure that people who choose to update will eventually grow to like this change a lot.
