Wish I'd had access to something like this back in the day when I was tracking animals in the field. If you have some cool data to show the world, try it out!
Absolutely brilliant afternoon of 'Discover Insects' for #NationalInsectWeek 2022 @BristolBioSci - so fun and rewarding to talk about our research and explain cool insect biology to folk of wide range of ages and backgrounds. Thanks to my super team of helpers!!
Super excited to have joined the @proforest team as a Data Analyst! Looking forward to diving into their data on all things to do with responsible production and sourcing of commodities

Hey @BristolUni look at this photo & zoom & look at ages of those on strike outside the LSB @BristolBioSci
They’re young ones, being hardest hit by cuts on pay & pension AND also being hardest hit with strike pay deductions & yet they STRIKE @Bristol_UCU@ucu
They WILL win
Really pleased that this @ioelephants interactive map showing 20 years of gorilla tracking data is now live on the @SavingGorillas website and at their museum in Rwanda!
What a privilege to have worked with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund team and their data.
20 yrs of gorilla movement data, visualized!🦍🐾
We’re proud to have created the tech behind this fascinating exhibit showing the movement of different mountain gorilla families over the last 2 decades.

@sagebrushchick Thanks for trying it out! The spider monkey data in the GIF has just over 271,000 rows and takes ~12 sec to load, but speed might vary a bit by machine. One trick to speed things up could be to remove unnecessary columns
Our paper on reproductive senescence in #tsetse is out now in @Ecology_Letters! We asked whether age-related declines in offspring quality are affected by female nutrition or mating experience in this extraordinary fly which gives birth to live young (1/n) https://t.co/Yql0NwNhXd

Hi Everyone, I’m excited to present “Mobile games: A promising digital frontier for behaviour change” on how we can leverage 📱 games for conservation.
If you like games this is the talk for you!
Work supported by @OTEConservation @ioelephants & @InsideNatGeo#SSWGTC21
A remarkable gorilla’s life story and a case for opening up the data that underpins this (and many other wildlife stories) to benefit conservation – I thoroughly enjoyed writing this piece! @ioelephants @LucHoffmannInst https://t.co/8x0lKEiFgr
