@April_Frampton Great comments here, April! However, I disagree that the radio should only play music that is good, not culturally diverse. Cultural diversity is so important and truthfully I think many Canadian arists would sink if there was no regulation within the radio.

#mus2011 Although it can become annoying when we hear Nickelback on the radio several times a day, it is important that Canadian musicians are represented on the radio as they play a crucial part in our Canadian identity.

@gillie345 Yes, toally! Look at raves for example, it is all digitally created and you could acess it on your computer at home if you wanted. The sense of community is what must draw people into those types of gathering. What do you think? #MUS2011

I would agree with Wald;'s statement as we live in a world of technology an inconvenience, and going to see an artist life (especially when you typically have to travel for it), is inconvenient, and there is a digital version of it that is almost as good #mus2011

@Abbott_391 I agree, Ashley! It can become very expensive and time consuming to go see artists live (especially if you live on Island like us!). Sound systems are made to quality these days so listening to the artists on your Bose speaker is the next best, more convenient option.

@BilodeauReagan Exellent point! Cover songs absoluley add diversity to the music. Some songs are so great, why not sing them in 5 different styles to aqquire to everyones taste!

I think that the authors considered it as 'scholck' because it was the same music, just with less value as it was the clean version of it. We can absolutely still value this music as the artists put the work in to transform the songs #mus2011

@pz1320 I agree with you! Music is now convient and affordable, which is very differnent than where it was in the past. Almost everyone can listen to music if they want too. The ability to pick what type of music you like is also aamazing- apps like spotify allow for custumization!

@kristywalll Isn't it crazy how far we have come in the past 10 years with regaruds to music acessibility? We are able to acess a song with the touch of our finger for a very reasonable price. I wonder what the future will look like here? What is next for acesessing music?

@kristywalll The expectations created by the media for youth to look a certian way and do certain things is a huge issue. Youth often idolize media stars and in some cases try to become more like them. Is this healthy and realistic?

#mus2011 Ray Charles music was revolutionary for his time because he combined blues, gospel and jazz to create let loose/relaxing music. This breaking voice provided listeners with something unique

#mus2011 Spotify has allowed me to have music with me at all times. I can listen to rap, r and b, country, and jazz all in a split second. Music has become so much more accessible over the years.

#mus2011 The media industry created a false need for the 'perfect appearance'. The people being represented by the media are typically shown as 'ideal', which can be harmful for everyday people as they are then feeling the pressure to live up to that.
