@posamentier @paulcothenet Seems like the equivalent in financial markets of hedging downside risk of US large cap equities by purchasing US small cap equities...probably pretty correlated. Where is the Fixed Income hedge? Forestry offset providers should have to maintain buffer pools of DAC or something

@posamentier @paulcothenet I was surprised to realize buffer pools (which seem to be the industry response to this q) consist of just MORE forest in often not such a differentiated environment (a la CA, OR, WA), rather than some more differentiated asset with a completely different risk profile
