2.5+ hours to travel about 4km from school to home today for kids around Varthur and Gunjur. This is not a one off situation, happens almost every other day. International schools ,big IT companies & lakhs of people have been living in these conditions.
Today my daughter’s school bus took 2 hours to travel just 2 km in Varthur/Gunjur road.
For those 2 hours, I sat there as a parent feeling completely helpless.
I work hard. My wife and I pay lakhs in taxes every month. We took a huge home loan mainly so we could live close to our daughter’s school and give her a safer, easier childhood.
And yet, this is what “2 km from school” means here.
In the last year alone, we have seen a school bus topple, a woman suffer serious injuries after a fall, a biker almost lost his life after falling because of a pothole, and many more incidents that never become headlines.
Every day, ordinary people here tweet, email, complain, follow up and plead with authorities.
We are not activists.
We are not fighting for a political party.
We are parents, employees, families and taxpayers asking for one basic thing:
Please give our children a safe road to come home on.
Today, more than the traffic, what broke me was the feeling that despite doing everything a responsible citizen is supposed to do, I had absolutely no power to protect my own child.
If anyone knows how ordinary citizens of Varthur/Gunjur can reach someone with the authority to actually intervene, please help us.

🚨Varthur SH35: Traffic Chaos, Broken Roads, Zero Accountability👇
The condition of the Varthur SH35 corridor, especially from Varthur Kodi to Prestige Lakeside Habitat, has reached an unacceptable level. Poor road quality, unchecked heavy vehicle movement, and prolonged administrative neglect have turned this stretch into a daily ordeal for commuters.
This is no longer a routine traffic inconvenience. It is a clear failure of civic planning, road maintenance, and traffic enforcement. Residents, workers, and taxpayers are being forced to endure dangerous congestion, wasted hours, and constant stress while the responsible authorities remain inactive. @krishnabgowda@MALimbavali@DKShivakumar@GBAChiefComm@GBA_office@BECCUPDATES
We demand immediate and visible action:
🔴 Urgent road repair and resurfacing.
🔴 Strict regulation of truck movement during peak hours.
🔴 Effective traffic management at all choke points.
🔴 A time-bound infrastructure plan for the entire corridor.
🔴 Accountability from the departments responsible for this ongoing failure.
Taxpayers are not here to fund neglect. Citizens are not here to suffer in silence. The apathy shown toward this corridor is unacceptable, and the authorities must act now before the situation worsens further.

Dear Sir,
As a resident of Varthur, I sincerely request you to please visit the SH-35 Varthur–Gunjur–Panathur corridor once.
Year after year, lakhs of residents have been suffering due to unbearable traffic, dangerous roads, missing footpaths, dust, pollution and the complete lack of safe pedestrian infrastructure. Children, senior citizens and office commuters are forced to walk on the edge of a busy State Highway every single day.
The Varthur Elevated Corridor was awarded in 2019, yet residents are still waiting. Different departments cite land acquisition, right-of-way and coordination issues, while ordinary citizens continue to pay the price.
East Bengaluru is one of India’s largest IT and residential hubs and contributes immensely to Karnataka’s economy. Yet Varthur, Gunjur and Panathur continue to be among the most neglected areas when it comes to basic road infrastructure.
We respectfully request you to personally review this project, bring all concerned departments together, fix accountability and ensure a time-bound completion. The people of East Bengaluru deserve safe roads, proper footpaths and infrastructure that matches the city’s growth.
Please hear the voice of the residents.

Bangalore to Ayodhya isn’t just a flight, it’s an experience.
At 32,000 feet, it turns spiritual.
“Rama, Rama, Rama” echoing through the cabin.
And then, out of nowhere, the entire flight rises in unison: Jai Shree Ram!
Shubh Ramnavami!

Engineering teams are often blocked. On small and large dependencies. Especially when teams are remote, distributed, or large. Reflecting on our own experience, and talking to our engineering friends made one thing clear — the best teams do simple things to get unblocked.
