@BBGRichie Having worked with the Team that run @LNER, knowing the management team there, they are a good bunch of people. Interesting to see that the complainant is an LGBT+ Rep for the @RMTunion & Tooting & Wandsworth Labour Party. I wonder what Bob Crow would have had to say about this?
Merger talks between Bombardier and Alstom had been on the cards for years, bombardier global sale of its transportation business to ALSTOM has got nothing to do with Brexit. It was always going to happen
Brexit benefits for the leave voters of Derby ....how many jobs will be lost? They all knew what they were voting for ....Toyota and rolls royce 'restructuring ' next ....but hey , it's just project fear
@afneil 2. If like east coast main line the Government ran train franchise could return profits to the public purse and it would be about running a train service to keep the country running as opposed to making money by all means and costs for Richard Branson/Brian Souter or any others
@afneil If the government took over Train Franchises handed back or didn't renew 2 things would happen. 1. It wouldn't need to claim against itself (Network Rail) for every passenger on the train regardless of how many actually claim because of delay minutes and in the case of East Coast
@MaggieSimpson49 Hope you bought a silicone protection spray with them Maggie, I hear it keeps the suede very protected. "These boots were made for Rail Freight and that's just what they'll do
@rail_review@RailFreightUK Good to see you meeting and talking with one of UK Rails brightest minds Keith. If we could just look at funding in CP7/8/9 and beyond to fund freight properly we could help reduce CO2 emissions on U.K. roads but needs proper funding. Not 2/3% of overall Network Rail budgets
@alexcburrows speaking with @chhcalling Minister of State for Transport and giving an overview of @bcrre and @therailalliance and what we do to support rail research and business support #TRAKO
Today, at their Party Conference, the Lib Dems voted to approve Motion F38, covering rail policy.
We've welcomed the ideas in the motion and look forward to hearing what Labour & the Conservatives have to say about the rail industry at their respective party conferences too.
