IMPORTANT DETOUR UPDATE From Monday, January 23, Railpath will be closed from Ernest Avenue to south of the Bloor Street West pedestrian bridge for about one year for Metrolinx work. A detour path will be in place to help you along your way. info:https://t.co/uo2pfMGLqJ
Today West Toronto Railpath users will experience a closure between Bloor St W and Dundas W. Metrolinx ran into a small and unforeseen issue while relocating a pole as part of the phase two closure area. Metrolinx anticipate this section of the WTRP to be open BEOD.
@jasonaboyd It will Jason but it will take a while for new plantings to take hold. The sooner the 4th track is done, the sooner Railpath part 2 begins.
@inHrEye How did you get around the Fire Department claiming their trucks cant get around the corner? (Like they do every time somebody tries to calm a downtown street.)
The West Toronto Railpath is already a neighbourhood treasure. Pretty soon it’ll also connect cyclists directly to the downtown core.

📢 Safety is critical to everything we do. We're running an emergency exercise on the new Davenport Diamond Guideway today. Emergency services and a large group of Metrolinx staff will be present. This is not a real emergency—do not call 9-1-1 to inquire. (📷: @ProjectEND)
@AlexanderGlista Sure would. This hood would love it and has asked for it. But municipalities now have almost zero leverage to make most of that happen and Section 37 is gone plus development charges have been reduced. Municipalities are in the hole before anything is built. Thanks Doug.
